Boquillas Canyon 4-Day River Trip

O que você fará

Imagine floating thru one of the most majestic canyons of the Rio Grande on this 4- day camping trip that is fully guided and fully equipped. The Rio is mostly flat water for a scenic adventure. The river has class I-II rapids that is perfect for our first timers. Come learn and/or work on your boating skills. The water levels fluctuate and can influence what boats we take: rafts (we can row you down the river or everyone paddles) or canoes. Throughout the winter season, the river is usually not more than thigh deep. At lower water levels we like to use canoes. The canoes are 2 seaters with the option to ride smaller kids in the middle.

We provide all the river and camping equipment and food. All you got to really bring is your clothes and toiletries, which you can put in a big dry bag. If you have a tent, sleeping pad, or sleeping bag that you want to bring, just let us know so we don't pack double. We also can cater to any dietary preferences for your family. You can also bring alcoholic beverages.

Camping out under the stars is one of the best ways to get away here in the Big Bend. We like to sit around and relax around a campfire at night. We bring tents, sleeping pads, sleeping bags, chairs, kitchen table, propane stove, hand wash, first aid kit, satellite phone, and a toilet. You can bring anything that makes you happy as well like games or books.

My twin sister, Erin Little and I have been guiding boats for 19 years. This is what attracted us to the Big Bend region as it is the only place in America that you can be a river guide in the winter. Jimmie, Cassidy, and Jeff also work with us. As guides we are Wilderness First Responder first aid certified and CPR as first certified. Erin is a Swiftwater Rescue Course Instructor, the rest of us are Swiftwater Technicians. We believe in being "The Best or Nothing."
What makes the Rio Grande exciting is that you have almost 300 miles of river to float with 8 major canyons. Our crew look forward to sharing with you what we love about the Big Bend. Our guides are lots of fun as well. Hopefully we can entertain you with river stories, cultural history, geology, medicinal and edible plants, and about off grid living here in the desert.
