The 2 Villages & the Main Street tour will take you through areas which are both interesting and historic, but typically don't end up on many other walking tours.
The tour begins along the city's culture corridor, which is full of museums and cultural buildings.
We head down philosophers walk before walking onto the historic grounds of the University of Toronto.
We head through Queens Park, location of Ontario's legislature.
The tour heads up to Bloor Street and Yorkville, both of which are famous for there high-end shops.
The tour then takes us down Yonge Street, which is the main street in Toronto, that divides the city into east and west.
We head into the Church - Wellesley neighbourhood, the centre of Canada's largest LGBTQ+ community. You will hear stories of the village, and see a statue commemorating one of the areas first residents.
The tour heads back to Yonge Street and finishes at Yonge-Dundas Square, one of the city's main public squares surround by giant video screens.

Notes:
Some locations we visit on this tour, may not be open on certain weekends and holidays.
This tour does not end where it begins. This tour begins outside the Royal Ontario Museum and ends at Yonge-Dundas Square

I have been living in downtown Toronto for over 30 years. I have been hosting various walking tours for past 5 years. Currently I lead 4 different walking tours through various parts of city centre.
My degree was in Urban Social Geography, which is the study of 'how people impact cities, and cities impact people'.
Jobs were hard to find in that field, so, for many years I worked in what was the new tech industry.
The companies I worked for, would regularly host customers and guests from around the world in our office. Since I lived in the centre of the city and knew it well, I would be asked to take the guests out and show them the city.
I enjoyed doing these little tours, and apparently, the guests enjoyed them too.
5 years ago, I got up and left the software world and began operating my own little walking tour company

Onde você estará

On this tour you will see quite a cross-section of the downtown area. At the beginning of the tour, we walk through the peaceful areas of the University of Toronto and the Ontario Legislature.
We head up to Bloor Street and Yorkville home to some of the most expensive shops in the country.
Through Church Wellesley you will see a thriving area trying to survive the increasingly high rents and the mass construction taking place around it.

This is exactly what my friends and I were looking for: to walk through parts of Toronto we didn’t know about and learn fun facts along the way. Can’t wait to take his other tour!

I had so much pleasure walking on a tour with Dave! Being new to Toronto, I immediately felt at home during this tour. it would take me a while to discover some parts of the city without Dave. During the tour, I learned a lot about the University of Toronto, Museums, discovered wonderful Italian pastries, learned about hippies, and much more! I've done a tour myself one more time after our official tour with Dave was over, took many pictures and bought some souvenirs. Dave also suggested what I should visit next based on my interests. I'm very grateful to Dave for this amazing experience!
