O que você fará

This small online group experience kicks off with an intimate Q & A where you can ask me anything you want about yoga, the Olympics, or anything in-between.

I’ll then guide you through a vinyasa flow. I specialize in teaching a “strong slow flow” class where we will start off slow with an emphasis on breath, warming, and preparing the body. We’ll then gradually build to the peak with optional challenges along the way, including handstands. Meditation will follow cooldown. I’ll guide a short relaxation at the end of the experience—allowing you to remain in savasana (final resting pose) for as long as you desire in the comfort of your own home without any disturbances.

All levels are welcome. I can tailor the class to benefit all yogis, whether you’d like to work towards the challenges or simply enjoy a delicious movement-based flow with no advanced postures to help increase circulation; strengthen, lengthen, and tone the whole body; and also calm the mind and nervous system.

Please note you can book a private session and have a class specifically designed to meet your (or your group’s) physical, mental, and emotional needs to help restore a sense of balance within. These one-on-one or group classes are for all levels of yoga practitioners and will be tailored accordingly. Yin and/or meditation sessions are also available on request.

I’m a 2014 Winter Olympian and avid yogi who’s passionate about mindfulness and well-being. Throughout my snowboarding career, I’ve sought out different ways to counteract the high demands and pressures that come with being a professional athlete. I give back to my physical body through yoga and and soothe my mind through rest and relaxation practices. I have completed 500hrs of yoga teacher training and guide yearly yoga retreats and weekly group and private classes. Yoga and mediation has had a huge impact on my performance and also my everyday life, it has helped me be the best athlete/version of myself that I can be. Christy brings an incredible grace and openness to her teaching style. Her personal lived journey with meditation and breathing add depth to class, while her uplifting and open nature make her one of my all time favourite yoga teachers.

Kind, personable, knowledgeable and thoughtful yoga leader. I appreciate how Christy asked about areas and positions I wanted to work on then incorporated them into the practice. I had to push myself in what I considered to be a challenging class and I love that! I tend to forget about the breath. Christy kept breath top of mind. She even introduced me to new breathing and body awareness techniques through the practice. My body knowledge expanded as a result. Really nice to have some time to connect at the beginning, as well. Oh and the NZ accent was a delight to follow hehe (I’m from California). I recommend this experience. Thank you heaps, Christy!

A fabulous way to start my day! I relished the opportunity to practice with and learn from Christy as someone I’ve looked up to since I started snowboarding. I valued her open and authentic nature and willingness to share her experiences of getting into yoga and mediation. Highly recommend to any other yogis or snow peeps out there 🤗 class is suitable for all levels! Fun to try some inverts!

Christy is such an inspiring woman to be around. She’s just got such a warm and welcoming nature, with humble wisdom always shared. My friend and I organised a morning zoom yoga sesh with Christy. My friend came over so we could practice together and then had breakfast afterwards. It was a lovely way to start my day and my baby slept the whole way through it all which was rad. 💛. Would be a great gift to give to a friend or family member that loves yoga and meditation. A home yoga and coffee date ☕️ 🧘‍♀️ 😊.
