O que você fará

There are a couple great local cafes in sleepy, historic Hanapēpē Town where you can get coffee or breakfast before meeting the rest of our adventure team. From there we will carpool and/or caravan 45 minutes to our rustic mountain top lodge accommodations in Kōkeʻe State Park. After dropping off our overnight gear you will pack a picnic lunch (that we provide) before setting out to explore the rim of Waimea Canyon, including 800 foot Waipoʻo Falls.

After 4 - 6 miles of hiking, we will return to the lodge where you will be served light pupus (appetizers) while we prepare laulau and poi for dinner (pork and veggie option). Laulau is a traditional Hawaiian meal of steamed pork meat wrapped in a taro leaf, wrapped in a ti leaf (the leaf of the ti plant is sometimes referred to as "Hawaiian tinfoil"). Beer and wine will be served to guests of legal age.

After dinner we will participate in games designed to get to know each other better and set intentions for the rest of our trip. There is no cell reception in Kōkeʻe (with the exception of a roadside pull-off about 20 minutes from the lodge). We encourage using this time as a “digital detox”, if possible.
Other things to note
There is no cell reception where we will be staying in Kōkeʻe State Park (with the exception of a couple roadside pull-offs about 20 minutes from the cabins).

Day 2
Venture into the highest altitude swamp in the world, at over 4k ft. (1,200 m) in elevation. We will hike approximately 8 miles RT stopping for a picnic lunch at the Kilohana Overlook. We will have an opportunity to see rare plants and forest birds found nowhere else on earth. Conditions dependent, we may have the opportunity to swim in a mountain stream.

After our hike you will have the option for solo time or games such as frisbee, badminton, ping-pong, and slack-lining. After sharing another delicious dinner we will enjoy a campfire and Hawaiian legends about the areas we have been exploring.
Other things to note
There is no cell reception where we are staying in Kōkeʻe State Park. Per person price shown is based on a 4 person booking minimum.

Day 3
Our final day of adventuring will include a hike on a ridge above the Nāpali Coast. Hike distances will vary from 3 - 10 miles (5 - 16 km) RT, with a total elevation gain of 650 - 2,800 ft. (200 - 900 m), dependent on group interest and ability. We will begin our hike in Kōkeʻe SP, taking a break at the halfway point to enjoy a picnic lunch with a jaw dropping view - please chew with your mouth closed – that will instantly make clear why Kauai’s Nāpali Coast is considered such a world-class destination. After our hike, at around 5 pm, we will return to the lodge where we will pack up and say our goodbyes. If you left a vehicle in Hanapēpē you will be driven back to pick it up. For those who can make it, we will meet at Kauai Island Brewery & Grill (4350 Waialo Rd, Eleele, HI 96705) for a celebratory feast (a 45 minute drive from the lodge).
Other things to note
Itinerary and hiking locations subject to change depending on group interest, ability, and local weather conditions. There is no cell reception where we are staying in Kōkeʻe State Park.
