O que você fará

Paradise Rescued hand produces fine organic Bordeaux wine.
Founded in 2010 with a sustainability mission to maintain the rural heritage of the village of Cardan (45 minutes from Bordeaux), Paradise Rescued is one of the smallest and youngest wineries in the Bordeaux region. The vineyard and winery were certified organic from 2016.
Wine lovers can visit for a unique up close and personal hands-on wine experience. Share your experience directly with the owner or vigneronne. Stand in the original vineyard and see how a passion to save a rural lifestyle and create an organic vineyard in the heart of a community has led to the production of a unique Cabernet Franc varietal wine.
Witness the stage-by-stage process of each vine from hibernation and pruning through grape growing to harvest. Live the story of how 65 year old vines were rescued from their near death experience to form the base of a new high quality Merlot vineyard and medal winning wine series. Discuss winemaking and wine maturation in the ‘garagiste’ micro-winery and barrel room. Witness how science, tradition and handcrafted passion come together to produce smooth fruit forward organic wines.
Complete the winery masterclass with a tasting of Cabernet Franc and Merlot wines from the current winery barrels and bottle stock.

PLEASE NOTE: The vineyard is 45 minutes drive from Bordeaux city. Transfers not included

Onde você estará

The heart of Paradise Rescued is a half-hectare block of land in the centre of the village of Cardan, Gironde, France. This block, Hourcat Sud, currently contains some 1,000 Cabernet Franc vines as well as a small section of different table grapes. The “terroir” is principally a very soft clay typical of this “right bank coteaux” area of the River Garonne and is particularly suited to producing forward fruity soft red wines.

Paradise Rescued went above and beyond for us! Not only were they incredibly good at communicating online, but they helped us arrange everything beforehand so we could take the train in from Bordeaux and get a ride to their winery. David was an amazing host and shared the story of their winery, the entire process of making wine, and then led us through a tasting. He was gracious enough to let us stay until our train back, an extra hour or so. I highly recommend this experience!!
