Ashley started with Predators of the Heart in 1998. Traveling with her father Dave from age 12 to 17. She had to switch to booking all of his programs from 17-29 years old. Ashley arranged accommodations, pricing, made cold calls to schools, churches and fairs, handled all correspondence only being able to travel on occasion. She got married at 20 years old, Ashley and her husband Aaron donated countless hours helping build enclosures, bottle feeding wolf pups, feed animals while Dave was on the road she helped in raising and caring for many animals. But her passion is having the opportunity to teach hundreds of people about how every animals plays a vital role in the web of life.

Best experience I’ve had in a long time. Amazing setting, passionate/knowledgable/personable people and most of all highly majestic, well taken care of, loved and appreciated animals. From Wolves to Raccoons, just amazing. This experience will impact your life, if you let it.

Very unique experience and worth every penny. We get to see/pet the wolves without compromising their well being and it goes towards a good cause.

Purchased this experience as a Christmas gift, and the following is their review: “This is a truly unique experience. Highly recommended. The owner/animal handler/tour guide and the other members of the predators of the heart (POTH) are knowledgeable and experienced with their animals, and truly dedicated to the well-being of these impressive animals. POTH is both a hands-on experience (petting wolves) and educational experience. It is part of a larger effort to save apex predators (wolves, cougars, bobcats) from over-hunting and rescue exotic animals whose owners can no longer take care of them. The actual encounter takes place over 2-3 hours in the late morning. Pay close attention to the weather forecast because the encounter takes place outdoors. Also, face masks (N95, cotton, etc) are not allowed when in direct contact with the wolves because the wolves will try to remove the masks from your face. I don’t want anyone to be disappointed if they insist on keeping your mask on for health reasons, because then you will not be allowed to complete the encounter, for your own safety. Otherwise, you can wear your mask throughout the experience. Again, POTH is a unique experience that is well worth the drive and the price. It’s the only place I know of where you can pet wolves (chest rubs are preferred by wolves) and take a selfie with a sloth, if he is awake when you come. You are allowed to take camera phone wolf selfies as well, but sometimes the wolves are camera shy. The staff will always assist with photos. The wolves are not aggressive at all, but they are playful with visitors. Think of them the same way you would a puppy or a small child who plays with their parents’ glasses and jewelry. Also zipper pockets are preferred because the wolves are naturally curious and might stick their nose in an open pocket looking for food. Again, overall, highly recommended.“

This was such a fun experience! Ashley was a very good tour guide and knows her stuff. A fun date idea that’s different than the usual. The wolfs were so sweet and it was awesome getting to learn about them and interact with them.

Worth every penny! It was a once in a lifetime chance for us to get up close and personal with the wolves. We also got to learn more about their lifestyles and behaviors, as well as the organization’s efforts in conservation.
