Unique experience! Since Japan has great matcha 🍵, it was nice to be able to make a souvenir in Japan, and use it back home for Matcha. Maiko was an excellent host and very knowledgeable in her craft!

I would say that this is a must try if you are visiting Tokyo! One of the highlights of my trip. So nice escaping the hustle and bustle of the city and immersing yourself in this traditional class. Maiko was super friendly, thoughtful and had much expertice in her craft. I'm so excited to receive my bowl in the mail back home and have a unique piece of Japan I can look back on. Definitely try this class if you can!!!

Such a nice experience ! We thought we would be with a group but we were on our own with Maiko sensei, so we really felt she gave us time and attention to create our 100% customized pottery. I would definitely recommend :-)

I debated whether or not I should’ve booked this but I am so glad I did. I had such a fun time in this class! I was the only student so I had Maiko’s full guidance as I made my ceramic plate. She had her assistant, Yuri, who was very helpful in translating in English. The whole process was new to me and they broke it down to understandable and doable steps. They also showed me a map where they get the clay, the process of making ceramics, etc. it was also easy to find their art studio from their directions given online and their building had a sign in the front that said “Maiko’s ceramics class is here, 2nd floor”. I also asked in advance to have my item shipped and I just prepared my payment and gave it to her in class. I got my shipping information on it as well that same day. Before the class they gave me a treat and tea and it tasted so good! During the ceramics class Maiko was very patient with me in making my ceramic. She instructed me and let me do the work for the most part. And I liked that! We talked about both our cultures and had good conversations throughout the class. I honestly didn’t want to leave, lol. Loved learning this New skill and I hope to do more classes with her if and when I visit japan again in the near future.
