O que você fará
I take guests out sailing, into nature and amongst the dolphins, pelicans and other wildlife. Sunset tours are from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. I pick up guests in my dinghy at the boat ramp at 97 Center Street Folly Beach in Folly River and dinghy guests out to my big catamaran within sight of the dock. I deliver our safety speech, informing guests of all safety procedures and then we pull up the anchor and roll out the sail. We head southwest down the Folly River and search for bottle-nose dolphins, we watch pelicans dive for their dinner, we see seagulls laughing and often will see a hawk gripping a fish in its claws. I explain differences in how pelicans fish verse hawks, explain about the low country eco systems, and much history about this low country’s marsh land. Depending on the wind direction we may have to roll our sail in and use motors to get back to where we started from, but once we do I will drop anchor, then the dinghy and take guests back to the dock we started from. This is an exciting time to sail on a large catamaran that has plenty of space to sit in a seat inside or outside, or stretch out and lay up on the trampoline. Fun and safe for all ages.

Hello, my name is Captain Ryan Carroll and I love to take people out sailing! Seeing guests faces when the wind fills the sails and the boat begins to move really makes me happy. I love teaching guests how to sail, which winch to crank at each moment to be able to move the boat in the direction we chose. I love to share all of my knowledge of sailing and the experiences I’ve had on the water while sailing with guests so they may entertain grand ideas of becoming a sailor. The low country marsh land is home to so many different species and I love to educate guests on the ecosystems and history behind this area. My tour takes us past the first home ever built on Folly Beach, that used to be a hospital during the civil war. I love to find bottle-nose dolphins, pelicans, hawks, turtles and other marine life and share their feeding patterns.
