The Hay Loft at Corner Farm is located in the hamlet of Rodsley, 5 miles from Ashbourne, the Gateway to The Peak District. Alton Towers and several historic houses are nearby, with many beautiful walks directly on the doorstep. You’ll love The Hay Loft because of the spacious self-contained high quality accommodation, with full kitchen, private garden and complementary breakfast basket with home made jam and eggs from our hens. The Hay Loft is good for couples, solo & business travellers.

O espaço
The Hay Loft is situated away from the main farmhouse with dedicated parking directly in front. It is approached through its own gated garden and originally, as the name suggests, was a hay loft and stable, now converted into self-contained guest accommodation. Enter via a small tiled entrance hall. The double bedroom (former stable) which boasts hand painted furniture, a Feather & Black mattress and quality bedding, along with the shower room are both located on the ground floor. Stairs lead up to a large open-plan living, dining and kitchen, with exposed roof purlins and wood flooring.
The living / dining room area is furnished with a comfy sofa and Poang chair great for reading, oak occasional furniture, a flat screen TV, Amazon fire stick, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker and has the benefit of WiFi. There is solid oak dining table with 4 leather dining chairs. The space is equipped with reading books, games and DVD's for guests use.
The well-equipped kitchen with solid oak work surfaces has windows overlooking the gardens and the countryside beyond and has the benefit of all modern appliances; Fridge with freezer box (essential for the G&T ice!), full size dishwasher, combined washing machine / tumble dryer, fan oven, ceramic hob and microwave.
Outside the door leads on to a paved area, where there is a kennel for use of our guests dog. Up some steps there is a good sized private dog secure garden which is exclusively for our guest use. The patio area has a large table with chairs, there is also a padded swing seat, a wood burning Chiminea (wood available to purchase from the Farmhouse) and a summer house shed with sofa (where you can also securely store bikes, golf clubs etc).
The Hay Loft benefits from gas central heating and the combination boiler means guests will never be short of hot water.
Unfortunately due to number of stairs / steps The Hay Loft is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

One well behaved small to medium sized dog is welcome at The Hay Loft, (fee payable on arrival of £5 per night with a maximum charge of £25 per stay). We do request however that guests do not allow their dog in the bedroom or to sit on furniture. An indoor dog crate is supplied for the use by guests, as well as the outdoor kennel. There is a gate leading from the private garden into a good sized paddock which guests are free to use for exercising their dog, all we ask is that owners please keep their pet under control due to livestock in adjacent fields and that they pick up after their dog and dispose in the bin provided.

The Hay Loft is a ten-minute drive from the market town of Ashbourne, which boasts several supermarkets (Sainsbury, M & S and Aldi), together with numerous boutiques, clothes retailers such as Fat Face and Joules and many coffee /tea shops. Just over 1 mile up the lane you will find the fabulous Church Lane Deli & local produce shop, which also sells amazing ready-meals! We have two pubs within easy walking distance; the award-winning Saracens Head (1.25miles) and The Yeaveley Arms (1 mile), both serving good quality home cooked food, a take away service and a decent pint.
There are many places of interest to visit either close by or a little further afield. Chatsworth House, Alton Towers, numerous National Trust properties, Dovedale , Tissington Trail, Carsington Water to name just a few.
From our doorstep guests have access to a great choice of local footpaths including one that leads directly into Osmaston Park.
We are also located very near to the wedding venues of Osmaston Park, Grangefields and Yeldersley Hall.
