  • Bus stop on top of the stair case/street downhill. Just opposite our place
  • Square some 40m from us

  • The street
  • Chinese-owned shop selling almost anything :-)
  • A standard coffee. There must be more than 50 coffee variations. Much/little warm/cold milk, warm/cold small/large cup, milk first/coffee first etc. Practically every café in Lisbon (and Portugal) makes perfect coffee. Never pay more than 1 euro for a "bica"!
  • Other side of the Tagus river, Cacilhas (Almada). With a fantastic view of Lisbon. This is on top of the elevator.
  • "Our" Miradouro do Monte Agudo
  • Sandes com queijo. Another café standard
  • Pingo Doce Supermarket, 500m away. Former cinema
  • One of the popular Graça restaurants (500m away). Don't get scared away by the unattractive facade, it serves delicious food!
  • Be vey careful ordering wine in traditional Portuguese cafés and restaurants ;-)
  • A more hidden/less known tram-elevator uphill from Avenida da Liberdade. O "Ascensor do Lavra". The top is very near to the small city park "Jardim do Torel". Which by the way has a very interesting and silent Miradouro.
  • The Feira da Ladra is a very interesting flee market in the very nearby Graça neighborhood. The name literary means market of the (female) thief. Tuesdays and Saturdays
  • The Park at Campo de Santa Clara
(Feira da Ladra)
  • Graça and Penha de Franca are on the same hill. After Graça comes Alfama (same altitude, so easy walking from our place), which is one of Lisbon's most typical neighborhoods but changing a lot
  • From the Miradouro da Nossa Senhora do Monte (extremely touristy), go for Monte Agudo just around the corner from us for more tranquility and almost the same view
  • Praça do Comercio. One of the town's main sights, right next to the river
  • Example of Lisbon's famous street art culture
  • Friendly cities in the region that are worth a visit (by train) are Sintra and Cascais (on the photo)
  • Guincho beach, next to Cascais.
Easy to reach by train+bicycle.
  • Beautiful beaches in the area. For example, the perfect surfing beach of Ribeira d'Ilhas in Ericeira.
