This beautiful, hand crafted wooden cabin on wheels has everything you need for the perfect getaway. With direct access to footpaths leading on to the south west coast path, this is an ideal bolthole for walking or surfing holidays or just the perfect excuse to get away from it all. The tiny house sits in a quiet corner on our family farm in North Cornwall, just over 2 miles from the coast.

O espaço
Our Tiny House is a beautiful wooden building 2.5m by 7m, situated on our small family farm. The walls, floor and roof are fully insulated and windows double glazed for winter stays. Inside there’s a full kitchen, living room area with a sofa bed and bathroom complete with shower and toilet. A ladder leads to the sleeping loft with a large double bed.
The Tiny House was built 3 years ago as a ‘zero-footprint’ mobile studio on wheels and is powered by solar with gas for hot water. Our aim is to make it as eco-friendly as possible. The property is wired for 12 volt only, but we have now added the option to charge smaller 240v items like laptops etc via an extension lead to the house. There are also six USB points for charging phones and two cigar lighter sockets for other 12 volt equipment if required.
Our Tiny House is a simple, comfortable retreat away from all the hustle and bustle of modern life. It has a cute private garden with deck and BBQ. Set away from the house, a 200m walk across the next field is a large deck and hammock looking out, down the valley which is perfect for enjoying a sunset drink, with a fire pit area perfectly positioned to sit and watch the sunset over the sea, and when dusk gives way to night, the fantastic display of stars.
Whilst the tiny house is located on our remote farm surrounded only by fields, it is just 5 minutes from the A39, giving good access to the rest of beautiful Devon and Cornwall. The unspoilt nature reserve adjacent is the perfect place to walk and explore – a 2.5 mile walk will take you to the beautiful Marsland Mouth (where the Cornish coast path begins). A 40 minute walk across the valley sits the picturesque old village of Welcombe and fantastic pub, The Old Smithy. There are plenty of other amazing walks, beaches, pubs and places of interest nearby. Clovelly, Bude, Hartland, Tintagel and Boscastle are all within 40 minutes’ drive.

Please note that any reviews before June 2019 refer to where the tiny house was previously located. This spot (only 200m away) is still available to use, exclusively for guests staying in the tiny house and has a driftwood deck, fire pit and hammock area. The tiny house is now found on the edge of the farm itself. You will still have the benefit of your own private entrance and private garden, but you may hear more farm type noises during the day! The description and pictures have been updated to reflect this and the pictures you see in the listing with sea view are of the old site which you are able to use.

Acesso do hóspede
Guests will have access to a private drive, parking and their own private garden with hammock, BBQ and outdoor firepit area.

Outras observações
•If you’d like two beds please let us know and we’ll leave you some bedding for the sofa bed.
•We'll leave a basket of wood for the fire, which is enough to heat the space nicely for a couple of nights. More spare wood is available to buy on site for £5 a bag, or you are welcome to bring your own.
•Also we do ask that you don’t carry your dogs up into the bed if you can avoid it!
•Please note that the tiny house is situated on a working farm so you may hear the odd cow or tractor noise during your stay.

The house is situated on our family farm, at the end of a small road. We are surrounded by green fields and woodland on all sides, with fantastic views looking west down the valley out to sea. Just 200m to the North is Marsland Valley Nature Reserve, which forms the north Devon-Cornwall border. Welcombe (Devon) and Morwenstow (Cornwall) are both quiet, friendly villages with rugged coastal walks, great cycle routes and cute old pubs.
