This is an exclusive Tentrr site. Tentrr partners with farmers, ranchers, and other property owners to offer unique outdoor accommodations on beautiful private land. Each Tentrr Signature site includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find a queen-size single or bunk bed inside. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. The Tentrr - Artemis campsite is a peaceful and serene site in the Redwoods just seconds off trails to access Wilder Ranch State Park. The property is on a working farm on Empire Grade. Tons of opportunities for hiking and mountain biking! Minutes from UC Santa Cruz, beaches, and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

O espaço
This campsite is steps away from stunningly beautiful hiking, bicycling and horse trails in the redwoods that open up to the ocean and Santa Cruz mountain views to the west; to the east is a working farm with an orchard, chickens, baby goats, one horse, one baby horse, one pony, one giant mule, and a wild Kiger mustang that may be grazing near your site. It is a roughly 4 mile hike or ride to the ocean from the tent. The house is not far from the site, but the tent is still very private.

DIRECTIONS: GPS does not always work. Turn left at the big blue colorfully painted mailboxes and hazard triangle three driveways after the Waldorf school, go straight past the stop sign for a quarter mile (bumpy dirt road, just go slow my mini does fine), turn left at the little blue truck before the house at the Tentrr sign, follow to the end of the wood chip road (100 yards, 20 yards from the tent). If the electric gate is closed in the middle of the road chip road, then the horses are out, and we will help you thru if you tell us what time you will be there! There is no cell service at the site.

There is a platform in the redwood stand behind the tent with an extra toilet and place to hang the solar shower (which is sunning on a chair 30 yards away in the orchard). Behind that you will find the gate to the park, and the trail which is just beyond the gate. Either direction is beautiful. Note, the 5 horses came come and visit you, do not worry, they will not hurt you.

Very important: in order to make a fire in the interior tent stove, you must bring your own VERY dry kindling, LOTS of paper and wood. We have wood on site, but during the winter months it is sometimes too damp for this stove. Start small, be patient, it takes skill for any stove like this when it's cold.

For parties over 2, there are two blow up camping mats under the bed, along with a backup blowup mattress. The pumps are in the right cabinet next to the bed along with toilet paper and the blue toilet bags.

This campsite is off-the-grid, offering the chance to relax, unplug, and experience nature! There is no electricity or WiFi, and cell service may hard to come by. You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise.

When you arrive, you'll follow the map provided to arrive at your campsite.

Whats included at the campsite:
-A large canvas tent with a Queen sized air mattress
-A separate five person pop-up dome tent
-Picnic table and benches
-Outdoor camp shower and toilet
-2 Adirondack chairs
-Lanterns
-Firewood

What you should bring:
-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling

Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory!

Outras observações
Camping during Covid-19: Tentrr campsites have always been the perfect solution for getting away from it all. Privacy and seclusion are part of what make our outdoor accommodations unique, and usually all it takes is a quick road trip out of the city to reach one of our exclusive camping destinations. In the age of social distancing, isolated time can still be quality time - especially when you’re unplugged and out in nature - and we want you to know that the Tentrr team and our hosts are working together to make sure you have a safe and relaxing experience. Our hosts have been doing a great job ensuring our campsites are clean and spotless for your arrival. We ask that you do your part as well - maintain social distancing, clean up after yourselves, and leave no trace - so that everyone in our camping communities can enjoy these cherished outdoor spaces.

ALWAYS BE AWARE YOU SHARE THIS PROPERTY WITH MOUNTAIN LIONS Although you may never see them, keep all food in containers.

Dogs are welcome, though are best kept inside the tent during the night because of mountain lions and coyotes. There are horses on the property who are very friendly and do not mind dogs, but take care with dogs around them just in case.

There is poison oak not far from the site, take caution. Please pack out trash if possible. During the fire season open fires are not allowed, but the interior stove can still be used.

This site is equipped with solar lights, battery powered candles, toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags. We have four blankets in the tent for you to use, but please note - you must bring your own sheets/additional bedding! If conditions are right, we provide firewood for you - but if conditions are damp, the firewood will be damp, and we'd suggest you pick some dry wood up when you come.

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry!

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
