The Old School House is located in La Platriere, close to Lurcy Levi's town centre and ideal for someone looking for a true getaway from a hectic 21st century life style. The property is on route to pilgrims way and 6km from the Troncais forest providing an idyllic beautiful peaceful location, yet a short drive to the local town and amenities. The school house was an active school between 1872-1980 for local children. The drive to the property will hold four large cars.

We have spent the last couple of months improving the property for our guests comfort. The property itself is rustic yet comfortable with an open fire place in the main room. There's a washing machine, shower and two bedrooms. The gravelled patio area outside provides plenty of space for BBQ's and with great local produce available from local markets and fabulous wine it's an ideal setting. The location is known for it's star gazing at night.

Places to visit include the famous Magny-Cours race tract. There is also good fishing in the area and a number of great restaurants.

The Troncais forest 50sq km, well known for it's fishing lakes, walks and wild life and only 6km from the property and well worth a visit. Sagionne is also a 6km drive with an impressive 13th century chateau. Lurcy Levi a 2km drive, has a great wine specialist, two wonderful boulangerie's and a local market packed with local produce every Tuesday.
