Guests have totally private access to the property, enclosed gardens with secure off-street parking. Located in North Sligo, on the Wild Atlantic Way, in the heart of the Yeats County, this property is surrounded by fields and country lanes. Ideal for quiet walks or exploring the local coastline, the nearby beach has some wonderful fossils for viewing.

Lissadell House, (7km) famous as the childhood home of Constance Markievicz, the first woman to be elected to both Dáil Eireann & the House of Commons at Westminster. The poet WB Yeats was a frequent visitor to Lissadell and drew inspiration from the house & its envrions.

Drumcliffe graveyard (12km) set against the striking backdrop of Benbulben Mountain, best known as the final resting place of W.B. Yeats.
Found in the churchyard, his grave is marked with a simple headstone with the inscription, "cast a cold eye on life, on death, horseman, pass by." This was Yeats' self-penned epitaph. The graveyard also contains a high cross and nearby is the site of a 6th Century Columbian monastery.
There is a Coffee / craft shop on site offering home baking and crafts.

Raghly Harbour (4km). Harbour constructed c.1840, designed by the engineer, Alexander Nimmo.
Remains a working harbour for local fishermen.

21km drive from the seaside village of Mullaghmore / Classiebawn castle. Mullaghmore is a small fishing village, sandy beach here stretches as far as the eye can see and is ideal for swimming or windsurfing. Sea angling trips are available from here. You may like to take in the panoramic views of Sliabh Liag & Classiebawn Castle.

Dominican Friary Sligo (14km) Known locally as the Abbey, this abbey was founded in the mid - 13th century by Maurice Fitzgerald. contains a great wealth of carvings including Gothic and Renaissance tomb sculpture, well preserved cloister and the only sculptured 15th century high altar to survive in any Irish monastic church.

Benbulben forest walk loop running for around 5.5km at the base of the iconic mountain, with access just off the main N15 national route between Sligo and Donegal.

Glencar waterfall, (20km) immortalized by the poetry of W.B. Yeats situated on the border of Sligo & Leitrim. The Devils chimney ‘Sruth in Aghaidh An Aird’ lies on the Sligo/Leitrim border in the Glencar valley, only a stone throw from Glencar waterfall. Listed on the World Waterfall database as Ireland’s Tallest Waterfall. Its name means stream against the height and reflects that during certain weather conditions (when the wind blows from the South) the waterfall is blown upward and back over the cliff from which it falls.

Atlantic sheepdogs Streedagh (9km) visit a farm where you can see some of the world’s smartest sheepdogs, working in their natural environment. Their owner has represented Ireland on an International stage on numerous occasions. You will see how the dogs are trained and how they interact & work with the sheep.

Streedagh Beach, 3km long, beautiful sandy beach, steeped in history, three of the unfortunate Spanish Armada (The Lavia, Juliana and Santa Maria de Vison) met their demise just offshore in 1588, Spanish Armada Interpretive and Visitor Centre Grange, open every Saturday and Sunday 12-4 pm throughout the Summer
