Location! Location! So close to the best of Chattanooga! Beautiful decor and thoughtful amenities. A tree house and swing! At base of Lookout Mtn on an acre of landscaped grounds and walking distance to the desirable St. Elmo downtown. Recently featured on You Tube by Jennifer Decorates, described as "A Perfect 10". Savor the fresh air from the serene wrap-around front porch or sip your morning coffee in the more private garden patio. Great for family vacations. No parties/events allowed.

O espaço
The airy, 11-foot ceilings, intricate trims and moldings, and two-sided, intra-room fireplaces are just a few of the residence's memorable original architectural flourishes. This unique home, among the first built in suburban Chattanooga, was erected a year before the founding of St. Elmo and sits in one of the most desirable locations in the area. The sumptuous parlor, with its plush seating, makes the ideal setting for enjoying special family moments, afternoon tea, or evening cocktails. The decor in the three spacious bedrooms reflects the storied history of the area, accented with tasteful, modern touches for restful rejuvenation. The light-filled, cafe-style kitchen provides a comfortable space to create culinary delights that can be served on the adjacent formal dining room's generous table.

Localização

Chattanooga, Tennessee, Estados Unidos

Sissons House, conveniently located in the historic district of St. Elmo, is within walking distance of numerous restaurants and cafes, as well as the many activities on Lookout Mountain, including historical Point Park, Civil War battle sites, and scenic hiking trails. Downtown Chattanooga, with the Tennessee Aquarium, Chattanooga Choo Choo, Bluff View Art District, Warehouse Row, Chattanooga Riverwalk, and more, is an easy, 10-minute drive away. It doesn't take long for visitors to discover why Chattanooga is affectionately called the "Scenic City."

Adventure enthusiasts and thrill seekers alike will find options aplenty in the Chattanooga area, whether rock climbing Cumberland Plateau and its Tennessee Wall, bouldering at Stone Fort, hang gliding with the Lookout Mountain Flight Park, or white water rafting on the nearby Ocoee River.

Lookout Mountain itself, with its miles of hiking trails, hosts a slew of specialty activities that appeal to a wide variety of visitors, young and old, including:
The Incline: Known as "America's Most Amazing Mile," The Incline railway puts the "fun" in funicular. The trolley-style cars climb up and down Chattanooga's famed Lookout Mountain at an incredible 72.7% grade. Once you've ascended Lookout Mountain aboard one of the world's steepest passenger railways, be sure to visit the observation tower at the top station to take in the panoramic scenic views of the city below. Numerous Civil War points of interest and Point Park are nearby, as well.
Ruby Falls: Deep inside Lookout Mountain rests the the tallest underground waterfall and deepest commercial cave open to the public in the United States. Since its discovery in 1928 down a cavern trail, Ruby Falls (lovingly named after the discoverer's wife), has been one of the Southeast's favorite destinations. If you're feeling really brave, consider the after-hours specialty tour, when the cavern and its trail are illuminated with only hand-held lanterns.
Rock City: Home to the legendary "See 7 States" view, where on a clear day you can see seven different states from 1,700 feet above sea level, Rock City city opened to the public in 1932. Along with shopping, dining and viewing art installations, visitors can traverse the 180-foot span of the Swing-A-Long Bridge or visit the giant rock outcropping called Lover's Leap viewpoint, which has stunning views of the Tennessee Valley.

Within walking distance of Sissons House, downtown St. Elmo offers a number of eateries and bars, including The Purple Daisy Picnic Cafe, St. Elmo Deli & Grill, Sawasdee Thai Restaurant, Mojo Burrito, Clumpies Ice Cream Company, Plus Coffee, Mr. T's Pizza & Ice Cream, The Tap House and 1885 Grill.
