Bayclose is a 2 bedroom 2nd floor (top floor) apartment sleeping up to 4, with stunning sea and coastal views over Freshwater Bay on the Isle of Wight. The apartment is in a peaceful location 5 minutes walk from the promenade and beach at Freshwater Bay, yet close to local shops and villages. Close to beaches. Many walks from the door. Free WiFi. Balcony with table and chairs. Private Parking.

Accommodation comprises of:-

A Fully fitted kitchen with Gas hob and Electric Fan Oven; Fridge with ice making compartment; Full Size Dishwasher; Microwave; Washing Machine; Espresso Italian Stove Top Coffee Maker; DAB radio.

A large and spacious sitting/dining room with fantastic sea views. 2 settees - one 3 seater and one 2 seater. 42" flat screen television with BT Freeview Box, DVD player. Ipod docking station/speakers. Dining table and 4 chairs. Antique georgian sideboard. French doors onto a balcony from which there are also wonderful sea and coastal views. There is a table and 4 chairs on the balcony.

There are two good sized comfortable double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. All beds are made up with cream Egyptian Cotton Bedlinen. The front bedroom (double bed) has sea views down to Freshwater Bay and the promenade and beach. Please note there is no wardrobe in the double bedroom but a very large double size wardrobe in the twin bedded room along with a Chest of Drawers. The double bedroom has 1 bedside table and the twin bedroom has 2 bedside tables. There are hooks on the backs of both bedroom doors.

The bathroom is in between the 2 bedrooms. There is a bath with mixer taps and a shower over. Basin and WC. Heated towel rail. There are hooks on the back of the door.

Full Gas central heating - this is a very efficient system!. Radiators are thermostatically individually controlled and the flat can be as warm as you wish for as long as you wish! Also the flat is very well insulated and very warm in winter!

Free unlimited Wifi if you bring your own laptop/tablet.

Duvets, pillows, and Cream Egyptian cotton bedlinen is provided (beds made up for your arrival).

TOWELS - These are normally provided but please note during COVID we are NOT supplying Towels so please remember to bring your own.

Tea towels and dishcloths are also provided. Please Note though that Beach Towels are NOT provided.

A Hairdryer is provided.
Terry Disposable Slippers are provided.
Binoculars are provided for guests use but please do not take them off the premises.

Welcome tea tray ready for your arrival - teabags, a pint of milk, sugar and chocolate biscuits.

The flats have their own off road very private car which cannot be seen from the main road and each of the 10 flats has its own dedicated parking space marked with the flat number marked in each bay. Please note vans of any sort are not allowed due to the terms of the lease.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ALLOW OUTDOOR SHOES OR BOOTS TO BE WORN IN THE APARTMENT.
There is plenty of space to leave footwear outside our own front door and there are also coat hooks for outdoor coats etc. We now provide disposable slippers for your use.

Please note children are welcome but we do not provide any equipment for babies/toddlers. Also I see that Airbnb say that children do not count in the maximum guest total but in our apartment children are counted in the maximum of guests which is 4 INCLUDING Children!

No pets.
No smoking inside the flat or on the balcony.
No single sex groups under the age of 25.
No hen or stag party guests.
No wedding party guests .

Change over day. We do not have a fixed change over day and we aim to be as flexible as possible subject to availability so please do ask for your preferred arrival and departure days. Arrival time is anytime from 3.30 pm. Departure time is by 10.00 am. Minimum stay is 2 nights.

NOTE There is a 15 percent reduction for weekly bookings. We also sometimes advertise special offers.

Bayclose is set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB) and is also in a Conservation Area as is most of Freshwater Bay. Locally, Yarmouth and Freshwater have a good variety of local shops and cafes as well as a Co-op, a Sainsbury's Express and a leisure centre. Just down the lane from the apartment is Dimbola Lodge - Dimbola was the home of the celebrated Victorian Photographer, Julia Margaret Cameron. Now it is a museum dedicated to her life and work. It also has a tearoom and bookshop and the picturesque thatched church of St. Agnes is 100 yards up the road. There are also a number of pubs and hotels in the vicinity.

The Isle of Wight covers an area of 380 km2. A large part, much of which is on the West of the Island where our apartment is situated, is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Island boasts 57 miles of varied coastline and 258 km2 of farmland.

There are hundreds of miles of interesting walking routes whether they be coastal, downland or inland - you can access several walks directly from the apartment without using your car. There are many villages both inland and coastal. Newport is the County town of the Island. It has an excellent variety of shops, boutiques and supermarkets - Morrisons, Sainsburys, Lidl, M&S and BHS to name but a few. It also holds a Farmers Market every Friday. A Waitrose in East Cowes and an Aldi in Cowes means we are spoilt for choice! There is also an Arts Centre, a Multiplex Cinema and a large leisure centre in Newport. There are many attractions such as stately homes, forts, castles, an Abby and gardens, many of which are owned by the National Trust and English Heritage - one of these is Osborne House at East Cowes. This was the summer home and indeed the final residence of Queen Victoria. There is plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities - sailing, surfing, body boarding, windsurfing, paragliding, swimming, sea canoeing, cycling, golf and horse riding. Or why not take a boat trip round the Island or go on an organised sea fishing trip. If railways are your interest take a trip on the Isle of Wight steam railway at Havenstreet.
