O espaço
This lovely room on the second floor features a king size bed with down comfort pad. There is a dressing table with a Tri-mirror. In addition to the TV in the living room you have a flat screen TV in your room.

We have WIFI with password required that I will give you plus plug-ins by your bedside for your electronics. The private bath is attached with shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer, mirror, etc. We have plenty of towels etc laid out for you. Robes and slippers in the closet for you to use while you are here.

There is an excellent view from the second story window. Gigantic trees. Plenty of room. This home is over 100 years old and is a historic house. Come relax and enjoy all that Hot Springs National Park has to offer - historic downtown, art galleries, unique hiking trails on the mountains behind original bath houses and other parks near lakes and bike trails. Garvan Woodland Gardens, bathing and massages at Bath House Row, Oaklawn Jockey Club & Casino with thoroughbred racing from January to May, boating, fishing, Mountain Tower, Magic Springs Theme Park and Crystal Falls pool and slides, and great restaurants. White duck boat tours, Belle of Hot Springs Riverboat with dinner. Horse and buggy rides-and rickshaw rides.

Pet friendly North Woods in Hot Springs is located on the north end of town and we have four rooms open in a quiet country setting on hwy 7 north.

Fan in every room. You have your own air conditioniner. The heat thermostat is in the hallway to make you quite comfortable. There will be an ironing board and iron in the hallway for your use. You have your own key to the front door and your room when you arrive.

We welcome children and pets and do not discriminate. However we do not take care of children or pets. Do not leave pets unattended in your room for long periods. They have to be let out by you. Barking and disturbing other guests is not allowed.

Make an appointment at one of the bathhouses. Two bathhouses downtown are open, the Buckstaff and the Quapaw. Call them for an appointment for a wonderful bathing experience and massages, plus. Free parking downtown in the parking building on the right.

This home has quite a history as it was once a gaming house at the turn of the century. As you arrive you will go through the stone entrance and enter the iron gates. Notice the long driveway toward the two-story traditional southern manor house. On your left are grounds full of enormous 120-year-old trees.

Park in front of the stone sidewalk by the arch near the house and unload. A stone walkway leads you to the front door. Be sure to enjoy the large front porch later. Smoking allowed on porch.

When you open the door you enter the foyer and there is a large sunken living room on the left with a stone fireplace. Make yourself at home with the TV, the piano, and the game table with chess game, cards, and other games.

Also, from the foyer on the right is a large dining room with a large handmade hutch and handmade trestle farmers dining table that was specifically designed to fit the size of the room. It was built by a local craftsman. This is where you will receive your self-service snacks and beverages.

If you have a pet the large front yard is a perfect place for many walks.

There is an information book in your room if you are more interested in hiking and parks. There is lots to do in Hot Springs. There is a list of restaurants with addresses and phone numbers. There is also a list of places to swim. There is a map to get you started on the hiking downtown behind the bathhouses. Be sure and go to the Fordyce Bathhouse which is run by the National Park as an information center. They give out lots of hiking information. FREE PARKING building downtown about half way on right.

From here about two minutes toward town turn left onto Gorge Rd and you will find the Gorge Road picnic and camping park on the right. Beautiful small park with tables, creek, and trail.

If it's thrills you seek, (summer facility) Magic Springs Amusement Park is just a 5 minute drive from your door, and it's 22 minutes to the swimming and sailing of the sparkling lakes. You can also rent a boat on Lake Hamilton on Hwy. 7 South.

We live in a quiet neighborhood. The houses are spaced far apart but we are located on a main thoroughfare (7 North) . There is a National Park Forest behind our house that allows no trespassing that goes on for miles. Hiking near by. The Belvedere Country Club golf course is about 500 yards from our house further north on Hwy 7. There is a Family Dollar Store for simple groceries and gas stations not far toward town. At night you can hear the crickets and catch fireflies. The deer come by every night and try to eat our flowers.

North Woods Bed and Breakfast has been my home for over 40 years. My husband and I started buying collectibles as we could afford them while raising our three children and putting them through college along the way. My motto is that “people are more important than things.” And I always try to create something to look forward to. It makes life more exciting. As a business consultant my husband realized that we could use this amazing property with lots of space for raising our brood and entertaining as well. As for me, I majored in Art when I met my husband in college and have been making my crafts for many years and have displayed my results in my spacious home. We have had many “Open House” weekend craft sales throughout the years. I am well known for this endeavor. I use the sewing machine for a paint brush and create my own designs for wallhangings and Christmas stockings. Plus, I do creative painting on furniture and smaller pieces. It holds many memories for me and I have decided to share its warm and inviting qualities with overnight guests. With my children close by to help, I am pleased to host for Airbnb. Our large front yard, tall one hundred twenty year old trees, and old stone walls invite guests to enjoy its spacious beauty. We love our pets as well, and enjoy their company. I like the country style of decorating and have fun looking for antiques, but I don't overdo it. I love to watch TV and relax with my IPAD. I have a group of friends that I keep connecting with. I also sell handmade antique quilts and vintage tablecloths on ebay. Keeping busy is important to me. I like to visit my daughter in Portland, Oregon, when I fly out there. I love B & B hosting and staying in them. Its a real comfort. They are clean and comfortable.

My phone number is on the brochure in your room or in the dining room.
Text me. I have created a very informative book about Hot Springs that is in your room but I will be able to answer your questions. It has history of Hot Springs, a list of restaurants I recommend, and other interesting facts, plus phone numbers and addresses. I will be here when you check in and when you check out. Sometimes I am busy with my grandchildren and am picking them up but most of the time I am here. If you see my white Toyota van in the driveway I am at home. Otherwise you can text me on my cell phone. I will give you the number. If you have a question about how something works, please let me know. Everything should be self explanatory.
