Onde você estará

LUDLOW, Shropshire, Reino Unido

Black skies and starry nights with no light pollution in this unspoilt, back water on the borders of north Herefordshire and south Shropshire where England meets Wales are what make this area unique. A designated "tranquil place" in rural England by the CPRE the locality's full of ruined castles, ancient churches, grand houses, parkland and gardens open to the public. There are many National Trust, English Heritage and private properties too. Do ask for a list. A sense of place and purpose with roots in the past but heads in the present bringing a mix the old and the new and the best of both Worlds.
The area hosts many Food Festivals, Arts and Music Festivals. We have a Point to Point Course just over the river "at the bottom of the garden" and Ludlow Racecourse has regular National Hunt meetings during the season. Please ask for a calendar of events taking place during your stay.

Durante sua estadia

Lower Buckton's a traditional, large, old Herefordshire (former) farmhouse which in its heyday supported not only the farmer with his family but also house-staff and farmhands. The indoor servants had quarters at the side of the house, now annexed and is where we (Henry and Carolyn) live, leaving the main house completely self-contained for guests and the gardens for you to enjoy.
We're here to meet and greet, show you the ropes, answer questions, help with queries and to be generally helpful with advice whenever/wherever required. We're "on site" but not "in sight"!
If you're planning an event do get in touch - Lower Buckton makes the perfect venue for parties, celebrations, country weddings and receptions. We can arrange, tents, marquees, tipis and yurts over the bridge - if you've a special request and party-planning is required - just ask!
Activity Ideas: Cycle-hire, fishing, riding, cooking, pottery sculpture, paint workshops - just think of something and we'll tell you if it's possible!
Or do nothing...... and chill!
