“Have the flank steak if you are in a beefy mood. This is one of the more popular places and it's prices are on the tourist end. But they do have a large menu and good food. Drinks are strong. ”

“DONUTS! Also, if you're a hiker, there's a group that meets here every Friday morning to hike El Tepalo. Ask the staff to find out what time they meet for hikes.”

“This is one of those "hole in the wall" places that really surprise you with their food. But be careful - if it says spicy - it is. If oysters are in season, this is the place to get them. ”

“A quaint little bar/nightclub only open on select nights. Thursday through Sunday I believe. Open until about 2 or 3 am. Between 8 and 11 pm, it's a cozy atmosphere, great for hangs and cocktails. After 11, it gets pretty busy. Equipped with a dance floor and DJ, but sometimes they'll have live music. Cool place for the young crowd!”

“Rosemary honey glazed fish. Need I say more. It is surprisingly not as sweet as honey glazes I have had and that made it perfection. ”

“While not as good as Alex's, it is a pretty close race. Small place with great hand made pasta. ”

Parque
“Great place to "people watch" day or night. Especially fun and very active on weekends when "Tapatios" (people from Guadalajara) are in town with their families. Lots of times, there are live music events to celebrate local events. For Ex.On Sunday evening about 6:00 p.m. "Danzon" lessons given by a Guadalajara, well-know dance instructor, to anybody who shows up.”

“Perhaps one of the best Mexican places in town. You get the real deal. It is a favorite lunch spot and closes at 2:00pm so you may have to wait a bit for a table. But don't be surprised if someone offers to share theirs. This is a friendly place! Very budget friendly too!”

“Its a Magic Town situated on the north shore of Lake Chapala, surrounded by mountains, whit a little fishing village. Drop into Ajijic on a Wednesday to experience the weekly tianguis, or farmer’s market. ”

“This is a have to go! Not for the food. It is good but not mind blowing. But for the two white burros. The story of the burros is touching. Yves is an animal lover and went to great lengths to reunite the mother and son burros. Plus, the setting is great. The large swimming pool has been turned into a tranquil fountain and the grounds are lovely. ”
