Anstruther is a picturesque coastal village, once a fishing port now a haven for recreational boats. There is plenty to do locally, bird or seal to watch on the island of May with regular boat trips in summer and many golf courses with St Andrews less than 15 miles away. There are many other small fishing villages to explore as we are right on the Fife Coastal Road as seen on the side by side of the BBC series.

Relax and take in the stunning views in the seaside town of Pittenween. The only working harbour town in the East Neuk is perfectly placed within a comfortable distance of many golf courses, larger cities and scenic walks, ensuring there is plenty to do for everyone. Throughout the house, there are original features such as paintings by David Henderson and a specially commissioned glass panel of Pittenweem life by Kenny Drew.
This renovated fisherman’s house is tastefully decorated, perfectly marrying together a modern feel with the 160-year-old property’s classic characteristics. The bright and fresh decor provides a comfortable area to relax in after a long day enjoying the sunshine, with access to a private, sheltered patio for entertaining guests on those summer nights. The property consists of three living areas. Two lower lounges that join onto a spacious dining room and lead outdoors onto the patio. The loft upper lounge is accessible by a glass staircase and features an original stonework wall with fireplace. The property's kitchen is modern and well-equipped for all your needs. Contemporary bathrooms are situated on both levels of the house, the lower floor includes a bath and power shower whilst the upstairs bathroom features a luxurious walk-in shower/wet room. The property has 3 bedrooms (2 super king/zip&link, and a twin bedroom). There is also a bed settee downstairs, allowing up to 8 people to stay. Please note, the sofabed incurs an additional £25 fee and will need to be specifically requested so we can inform the housekeeper. The property upstairs (Penthouse on the Harbour) can also be booked for your stay should you have a larger group (Penthouse sleeps 4 guests, 2 bedrooms)
Pittenweem has the only working harbour in the East Neuk of Fife. House on the Harbour is situated in an area that is steeped in fishing history and even now you can buy fish and seafood on your doorstep. Take a short walk along the beach or enjoy a boat trip to the Isle of May – or even North Berwick across the water in East Lothian. House on the Harbour is right on the Fife Coastal Path, and it’s a gentle 40-minute walk to Anstruther to the east or St Monans to the west. The annual Pittenweem Arts Festival (August) has drawn a community of artists and craftspeople to this historic village, with galleries and open studies. The sleepy high street has welcoming cafes, and there are two village pubs. Anstruther, Elie and St Monans also provide a wide range of restaurants, pubs and cafes. For golfers, Fife is the home of golf, with Anstruther course five minutes away, and another 45 courses a short drive – including the famous Old Course at St Andrew's. For families, the East Neuk has plenty of fun opportunities, check out Scotland's Secret Bunker or take a trip to the Isle of May on the May Princess to see the lovable puffins! The opportunities for fun are endless!

There are two double bedrooms on the first floor which overlook the living space and have sliding oak doors for privacy. There is also a shower room with a walk-in shower. The harbour and port of Anstruther has a long and interesting history linked to The Old Smithy, and part of the building was built before 1730 and over time has been a stable, smithy and harbour store. It is located on Wightmans Wynd, which was named after Charles Wightman, a wealthy merchant and smuggler in the 1700’s and also a Jacobite sympathiser. He provided sanctuary for survivors from Culloden in the cellars adjacent to The Old Smithy. The building fell into disrepair, but in 2009 and due to its unique location and as a listed building, an architect took on the challenge of redesigning the cottage and won the Green Apple Award for the Built Environment and Architectural Heritage in 2013. With a sandy beach and most amenities just a minute from the door, this is a perfect location for a couple(s), friends or a small family who are looking to enjoy a seaside holiday or a walking, golfing or sightseeing break. Anstruther has much to do and many eateries to suit all tastes, from award-winning fish and chip shops to a Michelin star restaurant, as well as lots of cafés, traditional inns, ice cream shops, bakeries, gift shops and galleries. The working harbour has fishing boats as well as leisure crafts, including seasonal boat trips to the Isle of May (a national nature reserve). The old lanes and streets are interesting to explore on foot. Follow the Fife Coastal Path that literally passes the front door and leads in either direction to secluded coves, little fishing villages and white sandy beaches. For exploring further afield, St Andrews is only 9 miles away and makes a great day out with excellent shopping facilities as well as lots of restaurants, pubs and bistros. Famous for being the home of golf, lovers of the sport will enjoy visiting the British Golf Museum or playing on one of the championship courses. In fact there are over 40 golf courses in Fife to choose from. The local area is home to some outstanding summer food and arts festivals as well as an annual lifeboat gala which provides great entertainment for all ages. There are many more interesting heritage and historic buildings in the vicinity, and a visit to The Scottish Fisheries Museum just along the harbour is well worth a visit. The Old Smithy is a great all year round location for a holiday for small families, friends or couples. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards. Free WiFi

Sporting an outside terrace right on the sea wall and the living room offering un-obstructed views through a wall of glass, Sharps Close 2 is one the most prized properties on the Cellardyke shoreline. With the master bedroom behind a pair of double doors, if he/she so wishes, the guest is able to lie in bed and take in the floor-to-ceiling view right across the Forth to East Lothian. Sharps Close takes its name from the small alleyway that leads down to the cottage, which used to house workers for the nearby Sharpe and Murray oilskin works. The owners have renovated this 19th century cottage to an extremely high standard, as it is their intention to retire here themselves. Entrance from the close leads into a hallway and on to an open-plan modern kitchen/diner, with all amenities, including TV, smart speakers etc.. As the owner fancies himself as a bit-of-a-chef, the kitchen is laid out for those who enjoy cooking but is equally suited for munching on a takeaway or rustling up a quick bite. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with two windows to the close and a family bathroom, with shower over. A recent extension now houses a further bedroom on this floor, accessed through an archway from the kitchen. There is also a utility room in this area. A modern oak staircase leads to a large bright sitting-room with beautiful unobstructed views to the Forth Estuary and North Sea, including the Isle of May and Bass Rock. Recent works have removed the complete gable-end and replaced it with a wall of glass, extending the sitting-room further out towards the sea, thus creating an additional seating area to take in the view. The window opens to a fabulously private terraced area surrounded by a glass balustrade, where you can sit and enjoy the views onto the beach or even fire up the BBQ on better days. With the waves crashing to the beach just a few feet below, this is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the view of seals, seabirds (including numerous Curlew) and occasional dolphins, in all weathers. A host of brightly coloured boats usually adorn the nearby vista also. (Additional photos of the recently completed works will be available shortly.) Double doors lead to the master suite which, when left open give stunning sea views right from the bed. A stylish en-suite shower room completes this cosy yet airy and bright house. Original oil and watercolour seascapes adorn most of the walls to add the holiday atmosphere. The house is fully double glazed, extremely well insulated and heated with simple to use gas central heating. Outside, just a few yards away, the house has its own safe rocky and pebbled beach, ideal for kids to play while being watched from the window. In summer, a dip in the sea is enjoyably refreshing although not for the faint hearted! Lobsters, Cod and many other fish are regularly caught off the 'Rock' outside the window. The beach is also dog-friendly, and is cordoned off at both ends when the tide is in. If East Neuk is one of life's forgotten corners of the UK, then the lovely fishing villages of Anstruther and Cellardyke are the jewels in its crown. Packed with cosy pubs and a variety of cafes and restaurants, including one Michelin-starred restaurant, and not forgetting its world-famous fish and chip shops. The narrow streets also offer boutiques and galleries for those just wishing to enjoy a few days in a relaxing way. There is a supermarket plus two convenience stores, a great butcher on the harbour plus a country-renowned artisan baker. Boat trips run from Anstruther harbour to the Isle of May, St Andrews is just 9 miles away and all along the coast are pretty harbour towns and some beautiful beaches. East Neuk is also blessed with fabulous golf courses to suit all levels and wallets. Size: 105 m2. Amenities: Hair Dryer, Central Heating, Washing Machine, Dishwasher, kettle, Stereo, TV, Balcony, cooking hob, oven, toaster, fridge, freezer, Towels, Private parking, Bed Linen, Iron, Pets are welcome, Dryer, Seaview, Smoke Detectors, Wireless Internet, Baby cot, Patio, Carbon Monoxide Detector, separate entry; Bathroom: toilet, bath with shower; Bathroom: toilet, shower; Bedroom: double bed; Bedroom: king size bed; Bedroom: double bed; Kitchen

A spacious family home set in a quiet village, a perfect base to explore the East Neuk and beyond. Built in 2017, this home is full of light and luxury.
We built this house with a lot of attention to detail. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Ground floor comprises: lounge, utility room, large kitchen with dining table seating 10-12, double bedroom (king bed) with en-suite. First floor comprises: second lounge, master suite (with master bedroom, twin bedroom and shower room), double bedroom, twin bedroom (bunk beds). The double and bunk room have Jack & Jill bathroom. There is plenty space in the master bedroom and the downstairs double for a cot and a fold down bed, both of which can be supplied. The kitchen is ideal for those who like to cook with company. A couple of soft seats for those who like to doze and bask in the sunshine and then a huge table for debating/colouring/eating/drinking (all are possible at once!). The kitchen has all you will need for entertaining - the usual kitchen appliances and crockery plus Nespresso coffee machine, raclette machine, hot stone (we used to live in the Alps!), drinks chiller and an American fridge freezer with ice/water. Please use any herbs, fruit or veg that you see in our garden! Bellevue is a new house and so has very efficient gas central heating. We also have wifi, freeview channels and a DVD player. There are TVs in both lounges and the kitchen. The wifi is well connected throughout the house. We used to live in this house with our young children so there are toys, DVDs and all you should require to keep the little ones entertained. We are all keen walkers and cyclists and so there is a utility room with plenty of space for boots, wellies and jackets (as it sometimes rains in Scotland). Pets are welcome however please note that the garden is not enclosed.
The local play park is within throwing distance. Recently refurbished Kilconquhar Inn (open October 2019) is 300m away. Across the main road is Kilconquhar Castle Estate which offers horseriding, restaurant/bar and a ‘secret’ park. Further afield there is Shell Bay caravan park which offers a great beach, play park, café, restaurant and entertainment (when in season). Fish and chips galore in the villages of Pittenweem, Anstruther and Crail which are all a short drive away. Cycling and walking galore with the Fife Coastal Path in walking distance and access to nature reserves and hill walks a short drive away. Whether you are looking for golf, beaches, countryside or to hide away from it all, you will find it here at Bellevue.

The Annexe is a bright, two-bedroomed house attached to the main farmhouse. It is self-contained with it’s own parking and garden areas. The property has been completely re-wired, re-plumbed and re-decorated with new beds, kitchen and bathroom. This a convenient rental for guests attending an event in The Cow Shed at Sypsies Farm. We are roughly 300m away along the farm track.
We have welcomed guests from all over the world, many of them for golfing holidays. We are also a short walk away from the Fife coastal path. The village can be accessed by private footpath; the village is a 5-10min walk away. Guests should be aware that the kitchen and sittingroom are on the ground floor with the bedrooms and bathroom on the upper floor. The shower is over the bath with a glass screen. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave as well as an electric oven and induction hob. Two towels per person are provided but, if more are required- for example beach towels and rugs - just ask. This is non-smoking accommodation and sorry, no pets.
Crail is the most easterly of the East Neuk villages in the county of Fife - arguably the quaintest. Originally a fishing and farming community, few are occupied in these industries now. Crabs and lobsters are the main catch now and visitors may buy and eat them freshly cooked at the harbour. The Fife Coastal Path is a few hundred metres away. There are two sandy beaches, one at the harbour and the other at Roomebay. These are within walking distance. More extensive sandy beaches can be found in Elie (9 miles) and Kingsbarns (3 miles). The village has three play parks, tennis courts, putting green and fitness area. There are two golf courses at Fifeness (2 miles); Balcomie Links and Craighead. The area has numerous other courses including Kingsbarns and The Old Course at St Andrews. The village has two small supermarkets, a butcher, baker, greengrocer (he sells fish too), pharmacist and organic whole food shop. There are also cafes, hotels, a gallery, pottery and museum. The East Neuk villages are all worth a visit, whether it be for sightseeing, eating, walking, galleries or museums. Boat trips from Anstruther to the Isle of May, a bird and wildlife sanctuary, should be booked in advance.

Our house is in the centre of Crail, close to all the shops. It is very peaceful, and perfectly convenient for cyclists, hikers, or a single child family. You'll have your own bathroom, and can enjoy the garden. One of our 3 cats might pay you a little visit...
