“much more relaxed and typical Catalan restaurant (15-25 euro): Recommended dishes: bombas (a must try), pimientos del padron, pescado frito (fried fishes), calamares a la andalusa (fried calamares) - La Barraca: best paella I have had in Barcelona (25-30 euro); - 7 portes: very traditional and FANCY Catalan restaurant and quite expensive (25-35 euro);”

“We haven’t been but have heard great things! Here’s the lonely planet review: “Named after an Argentinean film, Elsa y Fred is decorated like a cosy living room, with a large wooden fireplace, sink-down leather armchairs and old-fashioned lamps. The menu features a range of gourmet tapas dishes, such as tuna with almond emulsion and rice crispy, and Thai salad with roast beef. Delectable cakes and cocktails are also served, as well as brunch on weekends.””

“BRUNCH. Spelled big, for that big Sunday recovery brunch. If you are out the evening before they have really good burgers. Also a very good drink-list. A personal favorite is their bleeding bellini!”

“You get real, homemade food made with high quality organic and gluten-free ingredients here. The pastries are picture-perfect—cakes, quiches, crêpes, and muffins. Plus, it’s an ideal place for children. They have colorful chairs and toys that kids can play with. In the afternoons, it’s usually filled with families who stop there to snack. They serve one of the best hot chocolates—chocolate a la taza—in Barcelona, and the star combination is a chocolate with churros.”

“ Its exclusivity is so extreme that it is entirely forbidden to take photos in the place. To enter, you must first pass through a house. From this bar we can say that its Parisian decoration has the place of an atmosphere of yesteryear reminiscent of the famous Woody Allen movie Midnight in Paris. c. Paris, 192 Getting there: - Metro L4 - Get off at Verdaguer - 10 minutes walk.”

“beautiful restaurant but during the weekend I recommend you to go there in advance and leave your name at the reception 40 min in advance, then they will call you (20-30 euro). Recommended dishes: Uevos cabreado, pulpo alla gallega (Galician style octopus), bacalao con miel tomate y alli oli (codfish with honey, tomatoes and alli oli sause), pincho con gamba y calamares (skewer with shrimps and calamares); ”

“They are always full. The restaurant are very close to the place (5 minutes walking) and they are the best in tapas and pinchos (typical spanish food). Highly recommended! Try it and don't miss! ”

“Hotshot chef Carles Abellán runs this basement tapas haven known for its gourmet versions of old faves. Highlights include the bikini (toasted ham and cheese sandwich – here the ham is cured and the truffle makes all the difference) and zesty boquerones al limón (lemon-marinated anchovies). You can’t book but it's worth the wait.”

“Yes, a breakfast menu is easier to master than dinner. In which case, you want to go to the place that is the master of the masters - this is the spot. Affordable, friendly staff, and great food! Note: every time I have been, the wait time has been around 20mins.”
