“A chamonix institution. This is where to hang out after skiing the vallee blanche, shopping in town or pretty much any time. You haven't seen Chamonix life if you haven't visited Elevation.”

“Great local vibe for cocktails, beer. Food is served during regular meal times, and people seem to love it. Also check Elevation 1904 next door, not listed on Google or Airbnb but a great spot for locals. The barman rocks and by the way, holds the medal for the best Espresso Martini!”

“This is the old favourite any time of the year – opposite the train station in Chamonix, with happy hour and live bands covering all the classics that get the crowd dancing on the tables during aprés ski. In the daytime this bar is transformed into a cosy restaurant with checked table clothes and outside seating on the sun terrace. A tasty menu is served and enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.”

“Really nice little restaurant. Little choice, but everything is fresh and good! Really nice owners. Petit restaurant familial très sympathique. La carte est petite mais tout est fait maison, frais et délicieux. Patrons très sympas.”

“This was our go to for breakfast. It is easy with young children due to the milkshakes and coloured pencils, but they do a great cooked breakfast! ”

“The Chamonix ski area's comprise of Les Houches, Le Brevent, La Flegere, Argentiere (Les Grands Montets) and Le Tour. Each area has a distinct character and provides ski and snowboarding possibilities for all levels. Tree-lined Les Houches is particularly good for beginners, families and on bad weather days whilst Argentiere is renowned for steeps and deeps and off piste opportunities (latter best undertaken with a qualified UIAGM mountain guide) In the summer the ski pistes become pastures with cows and sheep or higher up, rock terrain for walking, hiking, rock climbing and Mountain biking, a SPORT LOVERS paradise!”
