“A gorgeous place to visit! Monte Sano is beautiful and provides a variety of hiking trails, gardens, playgrounds, cabins, and a large lodge. There also many picnic areas. All the trails are clear and well-marked and vary from easy to difficult. There is plenty of parking, and the entrance fees are $5 per person. The park is open from sunrise to sundown.”

“This short 2 mile easy hike is a perfect family outing. The trail circles around a small lake located on Green Mountain. There is a picturesque covered bridge, log cabin and a darling rustic outdoor chapel. There is plenty of wildlife to see from ducks, turtles, chipmunks to toads. The park has many picnic tables along with clean restrooms. This is an absolute must in the summer and fall seasons.”

“This park is a lovely oasis in the heart downtown Huntsville. It's adjacent to the Huntsville Art Museum and the city's premier concert venue, the Von Braun Center. It is also walking distance to many restaurants and local shops. The large pond in the center of the park features several species of ducks and fish as well as large fountains. Recent renovations have rebuilt the pond, landscaping and walkways. It should be on every visitor's list of sights to see in Huntsville. During the summer months there are many free concerts and on every 2nd and 4th Friday they have Movies in the Park. Check them out on Facebook @ Movies in the Park hosted by Downtown Huntsville to see what’s playing. ”

“A hidden gem in Madison. They are well maintained and showcase such beauty like a creek and magnificent rock formations. The main loop is short (under 2 miles) but quite challenging with elevation changes. There is a great little park for the kids to play, as well as a pavilion with several picnic tables.”
