Colloquial Area
“An ultramodern area on Tokyo Bay, the Odaiba district is your go-to place for pleasure cruising, shopping and general seaside fun. The island built in Tokyo Bay was originally created by the Edo shogunate (1603-1867) to protect Tokyo from the threat of marine attacks. Today it serves a very different purpose—as a breezy entertainment hub with attractions for the entire family. Set aside a full day for maximum enjoyment.”

Business Center
“Yebisu Garden Place is a "city within a city" entertainment, retail and office development located in the Ebisu district of Shibuya ward, Tokyo - one stop south of Shibuya Station. The site was previously the huge Yebisu Beer brewery and is inspired by the look of an old European city, with plazas, passages, symmetrical gardens and faux-ancient architecture - yet with decidedly modern facilities and conveniences. Among its numerous buildings and attractions are a beer museum, a photography museum, a cinema, a department store, an international hotel, and numerous dining opportunities including a Michelin 3-star restaurant. The Central Square has a magnificent arch over a sloped promenade which leads from the entrance at Marionette Clock Square to Chateau Square, with its cobble stones and French chateau. Quieter spots include Yebisu Shrine and Sapporo Square - which is, in fact, an English-style garden. The 40-story, 167m-tall Yebisu Garden Place Tower dominates the skyline and has some excellent restaurants and bars with fine views over Tokyo. The Yebisu Garden Place Tower has a free observation deck, a post office and branch of Mizuho Bank (3F).”

Place of Worship
“A temple most famous as the resting place of the 47 Ronin, a famous group of ronin (master-less samurai) who banded together to avenge their unfairly slain master. Having obtained the head of the offender, they brought it to this very temple and then turned themselves in to the authorities; they were condemned to commit seppuku aka ritual suicide, like their master, rather than being executed like common criminals. The story is told in Chushingura, the best-known of all Kabuki plays. History aside, the temple isn't much to look at, but the small museum has artifacts from the event and after, including wooden statues of all the ronin, the banner that the ronin posted during their raid, origin”
