“Magellan’s Cross is a Christian cross planted by the Portuguese and Spanish explorers. They were ordered to do so by Ferdinand Magellan upon arriving in Cebu City on March 15, 1521. The cross is nestled in a chapel next to the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño and in front of the city hall and on Magallanes Street. Since Magellan’s Cross is outside the Basilica, you can visit the cross anytime of the day.”

“rom the downtown, let’s take you somewhere high – TOPS. But wait, let me just tell you that if you have not hired a car, this time, I suggest you do. And unless you know your way to the top, they also offer transportation to and from Tops. Probably one of the most overrated tourist spots in Cebu but, will never disappoint. Nestled in Brgy. Malubog, Busay, Cebu City, Busay, Tops is great for an “anytime of the day” unwind. One of the most notable things in Tops is the big old bell – which people enjoy banging. Operating hours: 7:00AM to 12:00MN daily Entrance fee: ₱100 per head”

“The Temple of Leah is located in Barangay Busay in Cebu City. It is built as a symbol of undying love and never ending devotion of Teodorico Adarna to his wife Leah Villa Albino-Adarna. This Roman inspired edifice showcases not only a labyrinthine and sophisticated architecture but also an astounding view of the whole city. There is also an art gallery and museum that features books and other valuable collectibles. This place is perfect for picture taking especially pre-nuptial and other themed occasions. The huge lions on the entrance, the enormous pillars, the statue of angels, the fountain in the middle with naked women and the magnificent staircase truly can give a touch of the ancient Rome architecture.”

“Fuerte de San Pedro is a military defense structure in Cebu (Philippines), built by the Spanish under the command of Miguel López de Legazpi, first governor of the Captaincy General of the Philippines. It is located in the area now called Plaza Indepedencia, in the pier area of the city. The original fort was made of wood and built after the arrival of Legazpi and his expedition. In the early 17th century a stone fort was built to repel Muslim raiders. Today's structure dates from 1738 and is the oldest triangular bastion fort in the country.”

“"In a more elevated spot in Cebu, particularly in the Busan area, you can get a quite similar feel when traveling in the highlands and fields in the Netherlands. The Sirao Flower Garden is one of Cebu’s best outdoor spot and tourist attraction. This place is named and quite popularly called as “The Little Amsterdam.” It features a wide field of “Burlas” as called by the locals or more commonly known as celosia. The flowers in the garden are of different colors of red, yellow, purple, and orange, which all in all, are very fascinating to look at. Making it more scenic, the Siarao Flower Garden put up a windmill, and with the combination of cool wind, this place offers a unique touristy feel for everyone." - from: SouthPole Central Hotel”

“There’s plenty of history to be seen in Cebu City, and Fort San Pedro is one such historic location. First built as a wooden fort around 1565, the current structure is a triangular bastion fort that has been around since 1738. Nowadays, Fort San Pedro no longer houses soldiers but a museum, an open-air theater, and the Cebu office of the Department of Tourism. If you’re looking to be transported back to colonial times, Fort San Pedro is the place to go. Type: Tourist attraction Location: A.
