“If nature is your thing, take a short drive from us to Beaman Park. We like going in the back way (message me and I'll help you figure this out) and walking along or even in the creek. It always feels easily 10-15 degrees cooler there in the summers with a full canopy. You don't even need your sunscreen. My kids love how much wildlife we see when there --- snakes, crayfish, unique bugs, butterflies, etc. It's a great place to kill some time connecting with nature between your honky tonk fun. ;-) Oh and no $$ necessary, not even to park. ”

“4-mile moderate, scenic, loop hike. Follow Volunteer Trail a half mile through the woods and pick up at the Day Loop Trail, which skirts the shoreline of Percy Priest Lake. Circle around to a high bluff and enjoy stunning lake views before reaching a quiet cove that was once settled. Ramble over a hill filled with tall oaks, then backtrack a half mile to finish the hike. ”
