Parque
“Created in 1889 with land donated by heiress Mary Schenley, the park now contains 456 acres of trails, woods, and attractions. A daily destination for university students, business-people, and outdoor enthusiasts, the park also hosts major annual events such as the Vintage Grand Prix and the Pittsburgh Race for the Cure. Visitors to Schenley Park can spend a morning at the remarkable Phipps Conservatory, enjoy lunch and a concert at the Schenley Park Café and Visitor Center, relax on Flagstaff Hill, play a round at the Bob O’Connor Golf Course, head to the Schenley Oval Sportsplex for ice skating or summer sports, or take a dip in the swimming pool. And of course, the trails offer a refreshing and convenient escape from the city.”

“Frick Park is the largest municipal park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, covering 644 acres. It is one of Pittsburgh's four historic large parks. Known as Pittsburgh’s woodland park for its extensive trails throughout steep valleys and wooded slopes, Frick Park is an ideal escape from the noise of the city. Birding enthusiasts love to visit Clayton Hill, where well over 100 species of birds have been recorded. Children flock to the famous Blue Slide Playground and learn about nature at the Frick Environmental Center. The park also features red clay tennis courts, baseball fields, and the only public lawn bowling green in Pennsylvania.”

“Here is another hidden gem and one of the most magnificent views of the city bar none. Located at the sharp turn at Baily Avenue (right, it's nowhere near Grandview Ave) it's one of those places you could totally miss if you didn't know it was there. Lot of activities here, yoga classes, movies in the park, and more. Lots of benches for relaxing Seems to be a park a lot of people bring their dogs for walking The view of downtown, it's buildings, the rivers, and even Oakland is one of the best in town. Parking can be hard, as it's street parking. Best to walk to the park.”

“They keep adding new places to the North Shore. Try to take a walk between PNC Park and Heinz Field along the river. This is a great walk to enjoy the water and see the city.”
