“Beautiful little oasis in the middle of the city. There is a walking / cycling path around the ponds that connects to the trails that span the city, you can rent canoes or paddle boats or just enjoy a snack and look at the fountain and bird life in the ponds. There's also a great playground here for the kids. This is where the yearly Canada Day celebrations take place, with performances all afternoon and evening and food vendors all afternoon July 1st every year.”
“In the summer they have a beautiful garden park with beautiful flowers and a great place to take a break. In the winter we have a winter event in November. Ask your host about it.”
“Beautiful biking and walking paths. If you want a good 30km bike ride I'd start here, or at Three Mile Bend and follow the trails to Bower Ponds, then Heritage Ranch and back again. Wonderful sights and smells on this paved path along the Red Deer River and through trees. ”
