Parque
“What to say? One of the great parks of the United States. Just head down the hill to Kezar Stadium (at the very bottom of Willard Street) and you'll see the GGP right beyond it (walk around Kezar to the west to enter the park). You can also enter on Stanyan and Haight (and at many other points). Enjoy the Academy of Sciences, de Young Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, Stow Lake, the Conservatory of Flowers (great night time light shows in the summer and winter) and many, many other features of the park.”

Parque
“When the weather is nice, you can barely see the grass due to the throngs of people lounging around. Luckily, the park was recently renovated and is big enough that you're bound to find a spot you like. The southwest corner is good for a panoramic view of the city skyline (and usually far enough away from the folks enjoying their herbal refreshments on the northern slope). There's also a nice kid's playground, although it's geared more towards older kids.”

Bairro
“Constantly bustling -- people use the square mostly as a space to relax and soak up a bit of sun, and to wallow in the atmosphere created by the surrounding cable cars, hotels and shoppers. Great for people watching! There is free wi-fi provided by the city. Look under the leaves of the greenery in the planters, and you'll find a few power outlets for your laptop.”

“Millennials love to stand in lines. Go mid-morning on weekdays to avoid long lines. But, the food is well worth it! Riches beyond your wildest dreams: butter-golden pains au chocolat, cappuccinos with ferns drawn in dense foam and croque monsieurs turbo-loaded with ham, two kinds of cheese and béchamel. Don't be dismayed by the inevitable line out the door – it moves fast – but be aware that lolling in Dolores Park is the only possible post-Tartine activity.”

Bairro
“Although this spot has great views period, I think it offers the best panorama of the city at night. There is something incredibly charming about seeing the city from this site as the sun is setting and then watching all the lights from a distance at night. NOTE: I do not suggest actually hiking this – it’s much better (and safer) to just get a car to drive you up there.”

Surf Spot
“People don't usually think of going to the beach while visiting San Francisco, but incredible on a sunny, warm day. Some of the coolest new cafes, restaurants and bars are a few blocks walk/ride from the beach. Check the temp and the winds before coming out.”

“This is a 5 minute walk down the block. Go check out the art in the alleyways, restaurants, and flee market. You can lose track of time just walking into the shops on Grant street. Go get some Boba at STEAP Tea Bar!”
