“A lovely, country restaurant that is by the river in Pigeon Forge and has a beautiful water wheel. The food is southern style home-cooking. Wait times can be long so call ahead if you can to get a reservation. If too busy here go across the road to the Old Mill Pottery House. Good food there too and less wait. ”

“The hills near the cabin have enough talent to rival Etsy. More than 100 working studios fill the eight-mile long Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts community that basically encompasses the entire drive between the cabin and downtown Gatlinburg. So there's no excuse not to stop and check it out! These studios belong to weavers, potters, woodworkers, and painters whose family legacies predate the park.”
