“Assiniboine Park Zoo is Winnipeg’s premier destination for amazing animal encounters, wild adventures and four season fun. With over 80 park-like acres to explore, the Zoo provides visitors with the opportunity to interact with animal species from all corners of the globe and in particular the journey to Churchill exhibit featuring Polar Bears. “The Forks has created a new eating experience by allowing food and beverage vendors to serve customers in a Common area. It's called The Commons and has created a European flavour to the area . . . . well worth checking out.”

“While Winnipeg is not exactly the top city in the country, it is my favorite museum (of the few I have been to). With the Planetarium for star shows and sometimes a pink Floyd lazer light show (no physical band present) . the Science center in the lower level as well is a great place for kids... and some adults just to experience what it offers for growing minds. ”

“The spot in Osborne Village for a casual beer, a relaxed bite to eat, or a game of pool. A staple in the Village for decades, you can spot patrons of all ages relaxing with a drink by day. The attached, often busy, Whiskey Bar (particularly popular with 20 and 30-somethings) is the spot for an Old Fashioned or a fabulous Whiskey Sour. Great for a group of friends any night of the week. On the weekends, the downstairs (named the Cavern) often features live music. The Cavern is jam packed on Tuesday nights, where sometime after 11:00 Soul Night begins. Expect a sweaty dance party if you choose to visit!”

“A beautiful, upscale, Spanish tapas restaurant. The perfect spot for a romantic date or an intimate girls' night out. Segovia's does not take reservations but will take your phone number and call you when a table is ready. Head there early, put your name on the list, and grab a cocktail elsewhere in Osborne Village as you wait!”

“Always great. More veg friendly. Downtown, easy to walk to Forth Bar from here. Does take reservations. These are the guys who started and host the river dinner (RAW: Almond) every year. This place usually also makes Canada’s best restaurant list.”
