Sightseeing
Le Mont is a must for anyone visiting the area. It is the most famous place to visit in France after the Eiffel Tower. There are organised walks across the bay from Avranches. This must be booked in advance with an organised tour. At night Le Mont is illuminated from night fall to midnight and in the summer they have musical evenings inside the Abbey.

The Petite Cascade is the favorite for walkers, it is crossed by the Cancon. The river runs down the rocks and forms a narrow canyon.
The Grande Cascade, is unique in Normandy, its 25 metre drop is impressive.
This is a great walk with the children.

Avranches have their market on Saturday morning. It has a colourful and lively atmosphere.
