River side picnic and bush walk to the Blue Mountains and birthplace of Easyman
This is one off the most beautiful and less well know beaches in Jamaica. It is maintained by the Free Winifred beach community. It is an ecobeach where turtles nest and completely unspoilt. The forest comes right down the white sand and so there's plenty of shade. buy a cold beer or some jerk chicken from the locals at one of the many bamboo built cafes which line the beach just under the tree line. Definitely the grooviest spot in Jamaica! Shhhh......... Don't tell too many people.

If you would like a morning coffee or some lunch before, during or after some souvenir shopping for locally made crafts (basketry, wood carvings, jewelry etc) this is a great spot. Overlooking the stunning view of Port Antonio harbour and the Blue Mountains beyond.

This is a wonderful place and has live music and cultural events every Saturday. The beach is available too if you use the resort facilities. there are yoga classes every Saturday and Sunday.

Water Sports
Jamaica is called after the Taino name for their island, Land of wood and water. Portland has the highest rainfall of all Jamaicas parishes and so has the most waterfalls, swimming spots and of course gorgeous beaches. Lagoons ringed with reef and surf beaches are what attracts many visitors to the area.
