With the option of a few walks and eateries. In Corwen you can do a walk up pen pigin, Along the reservoir, and out on to the wayfarers or back down into the town, seeing artist interpretations of welsh folk and history along the way. There is a small community museum in corwen and a statue of the prince of wales Owain Glyndwr. From here go along the A5 towards LLangollen, on your left you will see the area pictured above, this motte has links to owain glwyndwr, you will have to park and walk back along the main road to visit. In Glyndyfrdwy on the right hand side of the A5 you will find the memorial hall, you can normally park here. If open take a look inside, otherwise stay on the right hand side of the building and start walking the lane, this lane passes many off grid properties and the foot path goes through the garden of one house, continue along this foot path and you will eventually come to its industrialised past now over grown with mosses and lichens, truly stunning. From here there are various routes which are well sign posted. You could hop on a steam train to LLangollen from here, return via Carrog and dip your toes in the river Dee or take the mountain road over the top and return to the cottage.
