Some our favorite places to visit in the area.
This is a great historic place to see. We also love the beach area and the inlet area here. If you have little ones I’d recommend taking them to swim on the inlet side.

Food scene

This is a great place to enjoy the scenery of the St. John’s River. You may even see a wild alligator while eating out in the deck. The fried banana peppers are a must try!

Shows

Live performances of artists or musicians.
There is a show in the hotel called The Magic Hideaway performed by magician Bill Abbott. If you are a fan of Penn and Teller, David Copperfield or any of the other great magicians you will love this hour long show! The food is also great in the hotel restaurant and bar area.

The 3 Seasons

We do have three seasons here so depending on when you come be prepared for cool weather at night. Summer temps pretty much stay consistent but Spring Fall and Winter do have chilly nights.

Getting around St. Augustine

The fastest way to get to the most historic parts of St Augustine are to use the backroads. A lot of the backroads are only used by the locals and will cut down on some of the traffic situations. We recommend parking in the parking garage if you are visiting downtown and get there earlier in the day. Week days are also less crowded. Nights of Lights runs the week before Thanksgiving through the end of January each year.
