Transporte
You will definitely need your own car or a rental car.
There is access to Lyft or Uber, but it is limited. It is best to rely on your own transportation. We do not have public transportation.

Always dress in layers, no matter the season.
Montana has some wild weather, all year round. Every local will tell you to always pack layers and dress in layers whenever you head out on an adventure. It is not that uncommon to have all 4 seasons hit in the matter of a few hours. Bring some hiking boots if you plan to hit the trails, and sandals for the beaches on Flathead lake or any surrounding lakes. And remember our elevation may be a little higher than you're used to at home (especially if you're up in the mountains) so pack sunscreen.

Glacier Park Ticketed Entry
Make sure you head to recreation.gov to get all of the latest information for the ticketed entry system for the Going To The Sun Road in Glacier Park. This is a new system, and we're all still trying to figure it out. If you plan to head on the GTTSR between Memorial and Labor Day, you'll likely need the ticket. There are other points of access into Glacier Park that do not require the ticket, on the East side.
