Recreational Waters

Crystal clear waters tucked away in the mountains, Skaguay Reservoir is the perfect place to spend the day. There's plenty of trails to hike around the reservoir itself or head down below the dam to enjoy the Beaver Creek State Wildlife Area. Take your paddleboard and fly rods!!

Food scene

Legendary sandwiches, fresh baked breads, cookies and a desert case that will temp almost anyone. Try the peanut butter pie (think Reese's turned into a cheesecake) or the Bee Sting (traditional German cake). Unless you've got a huge appetite settle for the half loaf sandwich!

If you're into scenic drives this is a can't miss! Phantom Canyon Road is one of the most scenic and historic drives in Colorado, in the Western United States. This unpaved scenic road connects Cañon City and Victor, going through Phantom Canyon and increases in elevation from 5,500 to 9,500 feet. Originally the Florence & Cripple Creek Railroad you can still travel though the original tunnels! High clearance 2wd cars are fine June -September. 4wd is recommended once the snow starts to fly.
