The eight lanes have leather couches at the end instead of the usual plastic seats. And, believe it or not, they actually serve terrific bar food at a good price: great pizza, great burgers, great beer.

Because of its hilltop site, you see the observatory from everywhere, so it’s a real icon. We love hiking up there even when it's not a typically sunny LA day. The Observatory has one of the best planetariums in the world, and I don’t think people realize that!
