This brewery has a log cabin feel to it. I guess it's for the "bear" in Diamond Bear Brewing. The seating area is large and on nice days, they open the entire wall to the outdoor seating area for a nice breeze while beer tasting. They have a take on a Bloody Mary they make with one of their hefeweizen brews that is super tasty.

Rocktown has a great tour. It is chock full of great information and has a tasting at the end. Don't forget to try the Bourbon Cream. It is delicious. The distillery has a bar for tastings without the tour as well. They have a full menu of cocktails made with their many different types of liquors. They have some snacks to purchase while you taste, but nothing cooked. Stop in for a taste before dinner at one of the many restaurants within walking distance of the distillery.

Neighborhoods
These are a few of my favorite neighborhoods in the Little rock Area. I am biased towards Midtown and Downtown because that is also where I live. There are great neighborhoods in West Little rock, I just do not frequent them much.
Hillcrest features beautiful turn-of-the-century homes and cottages, with wonderful restaurants and shops. Stroll along Kavanaugh Blvd. between Walnut and Spruce streets. Visit our quirky shops like Haus Work and Abbi’s Teas and Things.

The Heights is a trendy, upscale area at the north end of University Ave. Many of the homes were built high on the bluffs of the Arkansas River - hence the name. It offers unique shopping and dining destinations. Stop in at Le Pops for a decadent popsicle that will blow your mind. Catch the game and a beer at The Prospect Bar.

Food scene
THE ROOT CAFE certainly lives its mission statement: Building Community Through Local Food. Loyal locals love it, and passionate foodies from all over plan trips around a plateful of goodness. The restaurant is an order at the counter, then find a table type place. It has a great outdoor seating area and an amazing brunch.

THE PANTRY CREST offers Czech and German classics as well as delightful appetizers, burgers, salads, and flatbreads. Award-winning desserts are worth saving room for. The full bar serves signature cocktails, imported beers, microbrews, and wine. All Night Happy Hour every Monday! I know it's not German, but the Lasagna is a must try.

CIAO BACI Specialties include crispy calamari and house sangria, which are best enjoyed out on the beautiful and spacious patio. Ciao Baci is very proud of its wine collection, boasting the largest half bottle selection in town. Their impeccable service makes every visit feel like a homecoming. The bar is great, especially if your eating alone. Neal, the bar tender is a great guy and good friend.

CHEERS Tucked away in the Heights neighborhood, Cheers is always serving up good burgers, sandwiches, and vegetarian offerings. Also soups, salads, sandwiches, seafood, and steaks. Boutique wine list. Local artists' work hanging on walls. The patio is open year round, as they have canvas walls they can bring up or down as needed. You can't beat the Filet and a glass of wine at Cheers.

ZAZA FINE SALAD AND PIZZA CO. has thin crust, wood-fired pizzas, savory salads, and creamy gelatos inspired by the southern Italian cuisine. The circular 700° oven can bake and pizza in 3 to 5 minutes. This is another order at the counter and have a seat. The salads are amazing and made to order right in front of you.
