VENICE GRAND CANAL, TAGUIG. Took my mom, sis and bro in law here. We were lucky to visit during a weekday as this Mini Venice in the Philippines has become a very popular tourist spot in Taguig with crowds of people taking photos. Great place to have lunch, dinner or watch a movie. Plenty of great restaurants to choose from. We didn’t try the gondola ride though. Share your photos if you do! TIP: Starting from main entrance, walk along the ground level , take photos along the river (good spot in front of the Juliet statue) the bridge, then go up 2nd floor and walk your way back around to get a good view from above.

BGC, HIGHSTREET, SERENDRA. My personal favorite city destination in all of Metro Manila. Clean, modern and vibrant feel to it. Like any place in the city, best to go during Monday-Thursdays and avoid traveling during rush hours (7am-12noon and 4pm-7pm). I used to walk here everyday going to work and back for 3years. I will try mention my fave restaurants and locations below. TIP: If you fancy a light 10-20mins walk, start from Din Tai Fung then work your way to Serendra. A lot of nice shops and restaurants along the way.

DIN TAI FUNG BGC HIGHSTREET TAGUIG. We were lucky to get a table right away, the place was full! I suggest calling ahead of time to reserve a table, lines get pretty long. I’m a big fan of Taiwanese food so i recommend you to try something new! We had noodles, shrimp and pork dumplings , pork xiao long bao, sauteed bokchoy, shrimp fried rice and they even gave us free salted egg bun for dessert(good stuff tasted like meringue)! It was their anniversary or something :) lucky us. Oh and Michelin star.

SINGLE ORIGIN BGC HIGHSTREET TAGUIG. I go here for STEAK! My friend Paul introduced us to this place, and I’ve kept coming back! They’re one of my fave steak places. Also the ambiance is real chill like you are in a cafe, coz they are: Cafe-restaurant-bar. Always a fave :)

SM AURA TAGUIG. I personally avoid malls because I’m not a big fan of crowded places. And malls in the Philippines tend to get REALLY crowded especially during Fridays and weekends. But this one is an exception, 1 because it’s less crowded and 2 it’s very near :) has great restaurants at the top floors too! TIP: you can leave your bags or luggage at the baggage counter inside the customer service area in the Department Store. Also if it’s your first time here, start from the highest floors and work your way down. The best views and restaurants are at the top.

RAMEN NAGI, SM AURA ,TAGUIG. All my friends know I love RAMEN. This one does not disappoint, it’s on the top floor of the mall. If it’s your first time trying Ramen, have medium hardness noodles, go easy on spice unless you really have an appetite for spicy food, pair it with some gyoza and I would order an Asahi beer. Miss this place already :)

BARI UMA RAMEN, SERENDRA TAGUIG. My friend and I were really hungry that day looking for a Ramen restaurant and luckily enough found this in a little corner in Serendra! Real good ramen, brand is from Hiroshima! (Just found out now 😂) try their ramen with the nori , it looks good for the camera and tastes good too! Can’t have enough of nori 😂

NIU , SM AURA , TAGUIG. I put this here if you’re a fan of buffets, like me, but not all my friends are so let me know if you need someone to accompany you😂. They have a good mix of Japanese and western food. Tempura will always be a fave. Not sure if they have wagyu beef, let me know if you visit :)

TUAN TUAN , SM AURA , TAGUIG. Ok I love my Chinese food. Thank God for the Chinese right? This one has a bright ambiance and food tastes great too. Can get packed with people during weekends though :) if you ask my typical Chinese food favorites: beef broccoli, yang chow or shrimp fried rice, salt and pepper spare ribs (ask for vinegar for dip), any steamed veggies, and har gao/hakaw

BIG BAD WOLF, FORBESTOWN, TAGUIG. This one’s a small bar and restaurant. It’s been years since I last went here but i still remember they had good food and drinks and from the reviews I think they’ve kept up the good service. The Forbestown area has several nice restaurants bars and cafes as well, real nice to visit during the day or night depending on your mood.

SOUVENIRS
KULTURA , SM AURA TAGUIG. If you’re a foreigner and want to buy local souvenirs (or a local like me that wants to buy home items or pasalubong) visit KULTURA , if you want they will even gift wrap your items for free . I always buy my boss the AURO dark chocolates, loves them. The place is big, I end up spending more than 15 minutes sometimes in there just looking around. Their staff are real friendly too :)

ENTERTAINMENT
ROCKSTAR KTV SM AURA TAGUIG. During my recent trip back to the Philippines i told myself i had to visit this place! And we did! I took my sister and her Italian husband, his first time in a KTV too! Great night of karaoke ! And very affordable too! Food fingers are ok as well, doesn’t matter anyway since we already had dinner and just wanted to sing and a few bottles :) They’re open until 1am i think we were one of the last to leave. Real fun :)

SPA & MASSAGE
I’M ONSEN SPA , MAKATI. Not in Taguig, but in Makati, my wife and I got their hotel-spa-buffet package (their hotel is 5 stars i believe). It’s pricey but totally worth it! They have separate hot mineral pools and sauna/steam rooms for men and women. Then we had our individual massages in a twin room separated by a curtain. Also you get to walk around in the japanese robes (yukata) which was my first time 😅. At least my wife said i looked japanese enough. I recommend getting the entire hotel-buffet-spa package if you’re budget fits :) but stay in my airbnb first of course 😂

THAI ROYALE SPA , BGC , TAGUIG. I personally haven’t visited this branch, I’ve tried the one in Malibay, my wife and I came back to that one several times: 1 because they’re real cheap and 2 they’re massage is real good, really worth your money. Let me know if this branch is good too :)
