The superb local skifield. Caters for all abilities, especially great for the beginner with wide open spaces. Very physical as quite old and traditional with T-bars etc.

Tekapo's newest attraction is the 'Dark Sky Project' giving you another Stargazing experience but with more emphasis on education and NZ culture. All sky/observatory experiences through Earth & Sky can be booked at the new building on the lakefront.

Start it by walking towards town and take the path on the left just before the bridge.
