This is local secret. Park overlooks the entire Susquehanna River valley and the state capitol. It's also a great place for sledding down its steep hills at the park.

City Island is a very short drive away from the house. It hosts the Harrisburg Senators baseball and the Harrisburg City Islanders professional soccer teams. While you're there, you have canoe and kayak rentals as well as the famous ferryboat, The Susquehanna Pride. Don't forget to walk the Walking Bridge that takes you into downtown Harrisburg.
