We haven't had the pleasure yet - it is apparently the best food some of our guests have had in NZ! Only open for one sitting on a Friday and Saturday nights you must book early.

Parks & Nature
Wentworth Falls Walk is a scenic bushwalk to a waterfall. It is an easy grade 3km each way track, or experienced trampers can continue on.
Head through Whangamata on Port Road, continue towards Waihi, turn right onto Wentworth Valley Road after the golf course (about 8 mins from the bach). Continue to the end of the road and start your walk from the campground.

Opoutere is a beautiful untouched white sand beach.
Head North on SH25 and you’ll see the Opoutere turnoff on your right (about 10mins). Continue about another 5mins and keep a lookout for the small public parking lot on your right. From there you walk across the little bridge, through forest and to the beach.

Opoutere is a beautiful untouched white sand beach.
Head North on SH25 and you’ll see the Opoutere turnoff on your right (about 10mins). Continue about another 5mins and keep a lookout for the small public parking lot on your right. From there you walk across the little bridge, through forest and to the beach.
Of course the main reason we, and others come to Whangamata. Beautiful long white sand beach! Laze on it, stroll down it, swim, surf or boat. The choice is yours...

Whenuakura or ‘Donut Island’ is one of NZs most beautiful coastal attractions. A large volcanic blow hole has created a turquoise lagoon in the centre of the small island. Absolutely amazing!
On a fine day hire kayaks & head out from estuary (if you are confident – it’s about 600m and you may have to ride the swell into the island). Or some companies take tours out there.

On a fine day hire kayaks & head out from estuary (if you are confident – it’s about 600m and you may have to ride the swell into the island). Or some companies take tours out there.
A truely unique NZ experience! 2 hours either side of low tide people flock there to dig a hole and soak in the natural hot spring created.
