Great bar near the river, where all the people from the neighbourhood are meeting. It is centrally located, just 5 minutes walk from Masaryk square and at the same time at the edge of the city center with a view on Milos Sykora bridge. Very often you can enjoy sitting outside, listen to live music from some local bands and have one of the tasty beers and some good snack. Be careful quite often it's crowded. :)

Heap hill after mining activity in Ostrava. It consists of millions of tons of extracted mining waste from the former Ostrava cole mines. Today covered by trees and very popular viewing spot from which you can see Ostrava as on your palm. It is actually the highest peak of Ostrava. You can easily get there by trolleybus getting off on Na Najmanske station and taking 15 minutes walk along the same called street.
