Although we usually take the kids and hang out of the patio, this place is great for couples, singles, and families! The food is amazing and the cocktail selection is fun. We watched the annual holiday light parade from their patio, which was so much fun. Margaritas and Christmas lights, check!

A small town bakery that features excellent breads and sweet treats. If you are heading the "back way" to the cabin (if you like driving on dirt roads let us know and we'll provide directions), this is the perfect last stop to stock up on the way.

Featuring German and American food, beer and wine, ice cream treats, and an excellent weekend brunch menu this is one of our go-to spots. They even feature a German band on Friday nights. The cafe also rents boats, kayaks, and canoes, and sells camping essentials and bait. This is a great place to start or end a hike around Lynx Lake.

It is less than 20 minutes to the cabin, so a great quick adventure.

Part of the Prescott National Forest, Lynx Lake has lovely views, both paved and dirt hiking trails, and the boat, canoe, and kayak rentals. The hike around the lake is a perfect family adventure. Both the north and south shore have parking fees, so be sure to bring some cash.
