It's a little hidden, but this New York City style pizzeria serves hearty slices. It won't compete with your grandmother but it's good in a pinch. Vivaldi's is located in a small shopping plaza right behind Trustco Bank.

A blend of Greek and Italian. If you are a fan of homemade spanakopita (spinach pie) then don't miss Athena's. They make it homemade in addition to fresh baked Baklava. I also love their white pizza. They serve beer on tap. Very reasonably priced and a great place for families.

Quiet and bucolic - this is a wonderful nearby hiking trail. You'll pass the famous gingerbread storybook house "Santerella" on the way.

Lee residents and guests who show a paid accommodation get rights to "Sandy Beach" in season. This hidden beach on a secluded cove is just 1/2 mile from the house. Ask me about how to get a day pass.
But the lake has a public boat launch. There are rules about taking any craft in or out of the water. The rest of the year enjoy beautiful sunsets or dine at one of several lakeside bistros along the lake. Don't miss the outstanding homemade ice cream shop in summer months "Scooped" right next door to the Retro Popo Shop.
If you like lake swimming there are several public beach options. Try Lake Onota in Pittsfield, Lake Garfield in Monterey or Benedict Pond.

Benedict Pond is a great place to swim. It's a beautiful drive getting there. The pond is located inside Beartown State Park but drive through Stockbridge for a better ride as the Lee entrance is a rough road.

Easy to miss as you are going around the bend, The Uptown Store is a great stop for lovers of fun collectibles, vinyl records and mint condition electronics. There's usually a little wiggle room in their prices too.
