Neighborhood cocktail bar, cosy and nicely decorated. Its small so gets crowded but a nice place for couples.
Really nice bartender, and great cocktails, try the Smoke Angel and Black Betty Bramble.

This is the bar adjacent to the Alamo Draft House Movie Theater.
One of the most interesting in Brooklyn, mix of museum and bar, it has wax work sculptures featuring life size displays of Lula, death masks of famous and infamous people, waxworks they obtained from Castan's Panopticum, Berlin 1869-1922.
The cocktails are some of the best in Brooklyn and their bartenders are friendly, no attitude.
The cocktails are named after some of the characters portrayed in the waxworks display, i.e. The Butcher of Hanover, Fernet Branca, Carpano Antica Formula, Lemon, IPA and Angostura. Great selection of local and regional craft beers, ales and lagers.

The food is great, locally sourced, they have a chef's bar for dinner seating by request, the drinks are inventive and eating at the bar is always entertains, great oyster's freshly shucked with three condiments,for happy hour. Nice outside seating area and dog friendly. Reservations are needed. My picks are their Hemingway Sour and their take on a Manhattan, the Brooklyn.
Their braised Lamb Pappardelle is fantastic and Monday nights are Burger Special nights...

Climb up to the top and get a stunning view of the surrounding area. The Fort Greene Conservatory keeps the park planted with a beautiful selection of native species. There is a colonial Kitchen and Garden which offers living history demonstrations. Also, the park is off leash to dogs every day until 9:00am, (as are all parks in NY) and after 9:00pm. There is a farmers market on Saturdays to stroll through and sample the wares.

The building is a beautiful Romanesque Revival located in Brooklyn Heights and built in 1878. Its part of Brooklyn Heights Historic District.
During the summer in the side Plaza of Lincoln Center there are dances open to the public. This is Midsomer Night Swing. There is an hour of dance instruction and then everyone gets out on the floor and has a good time.
