The museum is top-notch if you like classical painting, but this isn't the reason I come here. I come when the weather's nice for the great lawn and the view over the lake. Search for the magic tree !

Those 3 concrete pyramids are a great place to hang out with a beer, read a book, play petanque while enjoying a fantastic view. Very popular with sportsmen training, clambering up & down the stairs.

When walking down this street, you completely forget you're in a city... Gorgeous houses, stone walls, and the lake view is just astounding. A small square on your right is a great place for a picnic.

The best fondues in Lausanne. Otherwise, I recommend the typical dish from the Lausanne area, papet vaudois : cabbage/meat sausage with mashed potatoes and leek (do not eat the sausage's skin !)

This ageing ice hockey rink is home to the Lausanne Hockey team constantly supported by 8000 fans. I am no lover of ice hockey but this is the one of the hottest atmospheres for sport in Switzerland !
