Ystad is full of nice places to go for a coffee, lunch, dinner or the traditional "fika", depending on what you are in to. I will tell you a little something about the places I recommend.

Smoked fish, salmon and shrimps by the sea. A simple but but nice place, also perfect for take away when you don't feel like cooking at home. They sometimes have buffé evenings in summertime, book ahead.

Nice place by the sea, close to Hotel Saltsjöbaden, a nice place to go for a snack or lunch when you are at the beach, or for a drink at night. Not the best food you've had, but the atmosphere make it worth it (most of the time).

My favorite café in town, best bread and pastries by far, if you are in to sourdough bread. Serves breakfast, lunch and fika, you can sit outside or inside. Very good coffee as well.

New place outside Ystad in Sövestad, about 10 min by car. Serves breakfast all day, also lunch and "fika". Open Wednesday - Sunday. You can play boule, ping-pong and other games at the barn. Worth a visit, wonderful owners.
