This quaint little restaurant in Down Town Hilo is fantastic! I particularly enjoy the breakfast. They serve large Ohana size meals and the Haupia Pancakes are excellent. A must visit location for some good local kine grinds!

If you enjoy a more down to earth and eccentric location check out the Tin Shack Bakery. The food is always delicious with healthy Breakfast options and fresh baked goods. It is a short drive from Leilani Estates, approximately 10min. They serve delicious Cafe style coffees and there is always a vibrant welcoming local vibe here.
Parking can be limited so early birds get first choice.

Tin Shack Bakery
15-1500 Akeakamai LoopIf you enjoy a more down to earth and eccentric location check out the Tin Shack Bakery. The food is always delicious with healthy Breakfast options and fresh baked goods. It is a short drive from Leilani Estates, approximately 10min. They serve delicious Cafe style coffees and there is always a vibrant welcoming local vibe here.
Parking can be limited so early birds get first choice.
This is probably the best sit down restaurant in Pahoa. Make a reservation if you can, there can be a wait for seating at Lunch and dinner. Great fresh local style food and wonderful Hawaiian Style atmosphere. A bit on the pricier side but a good choice for a nice experience and tasty meal. About a 10 min drive from Leilani Estates.

Nicoco Hawaiian Gelato is what we call in Hawaii "Broke Da Mouth" it is so Ono (good) you will want a second helping. Nicoco is owned and operating by a wonderful local couple who are always wonderful to interact with. The small Gelato shop is off the main drive in Pahoah.
(Pahoa Village Rd.) find a parking spot and walk down to this cute little place for some one of a kind Gelato.

Luquins original location burned down in 2016, they were temporarily operating as a food truck until they re-opened at their new location in Pahoa. In my opinion it is the best Mexican food on the Island. Support this local business getting back on their feet and enjoy a taste of Mexico. Approximately 10 min drive from Leilani Estates.

Luquins original location burned down in 2016, they were temporarily operating as a food truck until they re-opened at their new location in Pahoa.
